Man, this deck is terrible! I playtested it four times and didn't hit a land drop once!
(not even Arixmethes!)

So maybe I'm out of touch with the youth of today... but what is Noyan Dar doing up in the High Power category?

I would like to argue that Heliod, Sun-Crowned belongs in the High tier for commanders. I know it's mono white but here me out. There is a ton of "when creatures come into play you gain a life" stuff out there. White is LOADED with it. With all of the token generation, comes into play to gain life, and the ease of gaining life in white is, and the fact that it comes with its own pseudo protection in the form of it being indestructible which makes it immune from nearly all most overused spot removals out there that only destroy and not exile. Not to mention it combos extremely well with some other cards that make it very powerful in commander. I have an EDH deck that comboes this with X of vitality or whatever its called and wall of reverence that makes it so that the creature with the enchantment basically Doubles its power and toughness each turn or exponentially more and you don't even really have to do much of anything. It can set up win cons based on your life total extremely easily and is both a cheap commander at only 3 but also has a decent P/T at 5 each. I might almost say this could be competitive level. I need to playtest my deck a lot more, but I think this heliod is possibly the strongest mono white commander ever.

vasarto77: who are you arguing with? TBD commanders haven't even been added to this list yet.

vasarto77 - basically what kdchmln says. Also, don't you "high power" our boi Heliod just yet, Heliod actually has a good shot of being the first competitive mono W commander. The latest iteration of cEDH decklists database has him listed as such and for a reason. The deck already puts out results in playtesting and uses (somewhat limited) resources W provides pretty well in theory.

Why is Tazri Food Chain tier 2 and the first sliver tier 1? Both deck run the same, different engine but still almost the same deck. Both 5 colors too. Just curious.

Anyone got an idea where Siona, Captain of the Pyleas is going to end up? The Shielded by Faith combo is certainly strong and white has plenty of tutors for it.

Sephyrias - I was just looking at her and pondering a deck around her. But, the only thing I can think of is bounce effects to make her ability continuously trigger, but she can only do this once and couldn't stack stuff on herself. Green and white has lots of auras, but nothing game winning really that I can think of. I am going to say she is probably going to be a causal or mid level commander at best.

I feel like Seton, Krosan Protector should be in 'Competitive' as opposed to 'High Powered'. I have a tuned, but not fully optimized, Seton deck that consistently combos out turn 5 and my current list has the ability to combo as early as turn 2. I think there is enough support for it where it should fall into the Competitive category.

@ vaserto77 "Green and white has lots of auras, but nothing game winning"
Well it does have the Earthcraft+Squirrel Nest combo, with the nest being an aura that Siona, Captain of the Pyleas can dig for.

I think that during the next update you should have a look at the other partner commanders. I actually have a higher win rate in cEDH with Bruse Taril and Akiri D&T, but I know that this is an uncommon archetype that few people are running. Even so, I've seen Akiri, Bruse, and Tana all do busted things in cEDH decks as aggressive stax archetypes are becoming more and more prevalent. I think that Thana should probably be around tier 2 and Bruse and Akiri should both be bumped up to High Power considerations, at least from the inherent advantage that partners bring to the table.

Flash is now banned. Very interested to see what this means for cEDH long term.

I definately do not envy the mods team after the Flash ban. IMO give yourselves at least a month or two in prep of an update. Thank you for all that you do.
April 20, 2020 3:57 p.m.
this list really needs to be updated, it hasn't had an update since January 14.
April 20, 2020 4:52 p.m.
True, the new Theros commanders aren't on the list yet and we just got Ikoria as well. Now there is the Flash ban and several placements are about to change. By the time there is an update for the Flash ban with Ikoria, Theros and C20, we'll probably already have the Core2021 release.

I'm not saying they are slacking, but what are they even doing right now? They haven't released any new videos in 2 months and they haven't updated this list at all in 3 months. You would think, with this crisis going on, they would have lots of time to discuss cards and determin their power level.

What? I thought griffin tribal was the best cEDH deck in the format right now?

I'm surprised to see Greven in high power. The deck has access to tutors, but any deck that swings to win, less Narset and Jeleva, is mid-power.
