Ash Zealot is to underwhelming in modern (I have a playset from last standard sitting in dust) for mainboard card and definitely for a sideboard card when you have heavy graveyard hate like Tormod's Crypt and Relic of Progenitus. Glad to see Leyline of the Void made it on here. :3

I realize that some of the cards I suggested for addition are already there. My mistake.

I never got a tag from your post GlistenerAgent, but thanks.

Oetieloetie, Izzet Staticaster and Zealous Persecution are like, never used in the sideboard. Anyone can prove me wrong though.

I'll also need references for Batterskull, Murderous Cut and Crucible of Worlds.

Izzet Staticaster is often in Jeskai Control sideboards for the Pod matchup, while Crucible of Worlds was played in McLaren's Jeskai Control deck at the World Championship and is a relatively common choice when one expects a lot of control mirrors.

Batterskull is a mainstay of Splinter Twin sideboards for BGx matchups, as well as in Scapeshift decks.

Murderous Cut was a sideboard choice in the GP Milan winning Birthing Pod deck.

Batterskull and Izzet Staticaster will be put in then, but you'll have to do better than just one winning deck for Crucible of Worlds and Murderous Cut.

Ah, forgot stuff. Crucible was in Greg Orange's GP Minneapolis Top 8 Jeskai deck, McLaren Pro Tour BNG winning deck, and his World Championship deck.

Murderous Cut is rather new, but I think it's still worth adding because it's an excellent option for pretty much every black deck.

I guess it is good for the black decks that don't have Treasure Cruise or Dig Through Time.

Stain the Mind is a budget version of Memoricide I see sided in in affinity at my meta

December 30, 2014 10:42 p.m.

Seconded.

Memoricide is budget. It's 30 cents bud.

December 30, 2014 10:54 p.m.

Still, I've cast and seen cast Stain the Mind on turn 2. It's really good in Affinity when the metagame is right for it.

30 cents I've already wasted on standard ;) lol

If you're going to have Crackling Doom on the list, you should also put Hide/Seek

I've seen Destructive Revelry in some sideboards for Burn and I use it in my own.

Harsh Sustenance sideboard tech for tokens decks?

February 17, 2015 8:34 a.m.

Femme_Fatale says... #22

xzzane himself said that it wasn't a good card since it relied on having a significant board presence.

tyforthevenom says... #23

as sideboard vs burn it should be fine as they don't care about your board

February 17, 2015 12:08 p.m.

I'd rather play Kor Firewalker. More consistent.

xzzane says... #25

Yeah, Harsh Sustenance isn't good. Much better options out there.
