Hey master1ball
Control is an interesting matchup. The deck has the potential to switch to quite an aggressive list to make things like Perilous Vault to be a bit slow.
But an Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver on curve can be a real pain, Generally speaking though, early on against control i want to be landing my creatures and getting set up as quickly as possible, to stop them from taking board control. So to hold two mana up for a Negate i would be slowing down my play and giving them more time to get set up.
It is a tough call and i will consider the ramifications

Battlewise Hoplite will have to get dropped fairly soon. Out of curiosity, what are your plans for that?
Also, in your experience, how often do you get to use Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest's ability, and how does it affect your decision on Temur Battle Rage?

There are a lot of pretty good options for Battlewise Hoplite but it is going to change up the style of the deck a little, when he goes i will probably drop Ordeal of Thassa as well for something else.
I was thinking that Elusive Spellfist might be a solid replacement for him, for the "unable to be blocked" could be very useful at times. There are plenty of other good 2 drop threats that will come into play, let alone whatever gets relesed in the next set to play around with, so i don't have any really firm plans until i see what is spoiled.
Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest makes a pretty huge difference, you often get to play multiple spells a turn. I would probably play Temur Battle Rage if i didn't have her in the deck but she edges it out, because she is value even if you only have her on the field. Being able to cast one spell, and make her swing for 8 damage really bridges the gap into midrange.

I have a similar build that doesnt use Heroic just cause of the impending rotation, and utilizes Rebound to really take advantage of Prowess. People arent going to see this coming, cause its a really simple build on a budget with some really good commons and uncommons. Definitely going to suggest Temur Battle Rage and Center Soul. 2 Digs seems a bit greedy and glaring aegis seems like a bad top deck, atleast in my meta.
Check out my build Jeskai Supermoves

Yeah Glaring Aegis is an interesting one, the main reason i have it in is that it puts my guys out of range of 2-3 damage kill spells.
I have been trying to think of where to fit in some rebound spells, as they do provide a lot of synergy. If i were going to run Temur Battle Rage i think i would drop Shu Yun for a different creature. It's really a tightrope balance because you want to have enough creatures, and enough triggers.
Ultimately i see the value in this deck being that it can outpace midrange, lifesteal out aggro, and has enough protection against control to punch through.
only really need one creature get through with a few triggers.

Center Soul can replace Feat of Resistance imo. The +1 counter stays with resistance however center soul's second cast on your upkeep usually means unblockable and with prowess and the ascendancy out it's going to be temporarily stronger.

I would go with Negate over Swan Song because it hits Perilous Vault and Ashiok if you're worried about the control match up.
