Did some Reworking. Pulled Putrefax out completely. Since he sits sideboard, and is for longer games, I just rather have more utility. The added card:Dryad's Favor to the side board for Elves and Green Ramp. So now we got assistance for blue and black in the form of card:Autumn's Veil green using card:Dryad's Favor, white and artifact with card:Nature's Claim, and the Withstand Death for RDW's to keep our creature on the board for that one more turn we need it. SO the question I got now is, do we keep Withstand Death or go back to card:Dragon's Claw for our answer to red?

I say the dragon's claw, since you took out the putrefax there is no creature that you really need to keep alive for one turn and you have no other answer to red.

I also say maybe put in wall of vines instead of tanglecord so you don't have to worry about paying one. Also if you are facing a life gain deck with ajanis and elspeths your nature's claim could kill you so you might want to consider throwing a naturalize or two in just in case.

O yeah and how about untamed might, it can make an unblocked infecter huge, seen it work so many times with the ichorclaw.

I agree with the lack of a good red answer. As for the Wall of Vines , it would die to quickly. It's worth leaving the one green untapped to basically make Wall of Tanglecord block more then once in a game. As for the giving them life, I am trying to combo kill in one shot, so I don't care how much life they work up to. As for Untamed Might , it would be awesome in a traditional high mana producing green deck. Mine has no production outside of lands, so x would be 3 at the most. 4 mana for +3+3 is crazy when so many others can do it better. Any suggestions besides the claw for a red answer? I am all about a good solution to round out this deck!

honestly, your Withstand Death along with vines and all your +/+ spells are good enough red burn protection...
But it seems to me like you would have more of a problem with black removal such as Vendetta and Doom Blade ... but it would be the same responses, Canopy Cover and Withstand Death .
Therefore, I see no lack against Red burn or Black destructo. I even tested my quick-red-burn-1 deck vs it for 4 games, and it was 2-2, all dependent on card draws.

yea ive really learned as to how to sideboard again black and red in the past couple days.
December 7, 2010 1:49 p.m.
I've been testing this deck all day, and it always seems like I'm dead in the water unless I draw a Canopy Cover . Are there any other cards with similar effects that could be subbed in, perhaps for a few of the creatures? Whispersilk Cloak maybe? I'm going to use some Misty Rainforest as well to thin the deck out a bit.

Trakanon My deck with fetches for the most part is fast-green-infect. He's tweaked it a bit here and there for his play but it's basically the same. As for more stuff, you can add more but then you loose out on the pieces. Honestly the goal was to kill with a Livewire Lash you pulled. So it didn't matter how hard you actually hit the Opponent, your win condition could trigger without ever Attacking.
December 8, 2010 10:58 a.m.
So you just equip a lash and then "waste" 5 of the buffs on him for the win? I guess I just find myself telling myself that I'll wait one more draw to see if I can pull a canopy cover and just swing.
December 8, 2010 4:22 p.m.
Either way, I feel like having some fetch lands in there is a good idea. I am playing around with a version of this that also has some Distortion Strike and Preordain lumped in.

Livewire Lash is your long game plan. In the short term, if you can get poison counters on early by pump or even kill with attacking pump you will want too.

i really like this deck man
have you thought about taking out 4xForest and adding Verdant Catacombs ?
seems like you can thin the deck out that way.

fast-green-infect Is my deck done with Fetchlands, and a few changes. He copied my deck, and I have been working with him, to make the fetch version better. For me Personally, I am not interested in the mathematics of playing fetch. I can't loose life to a burn deck to try to thin to get a card.

Honestly I saw the deck on mtgo for I just was lazy and copied from yours so I didn't have to type everything out lol.

This deck did very well last night at my FNM. I fell victim to bad draws on several occasions though. In 3 different games I had my only creature get removed, and my next creature was 8 draws away... yikes. It sure is enjoyable to canopy cover, giant growth x2, and vines in 1 turn and swing for the win.

I had a very poor showing with this deck at FNM. I lost twice to U/W control (Caw-Go) and once to RDW. Although I managed to take it to game 3 every round, once they adjusted their sideboards, I went down. card:Autumn's Veil is great for U/B, but do we have a card to protect from white control? Aside from Canopy Cover , that is. Also fell prey to the same thing as Trakanon. That was probably just poor shuffling/mulliganing on my part.

It's a fun deck to play with with friends, but it gets owned at tournaments.

Ok @username. Compared to all the time you waste in some kind a crackpot school learning about myths and lies listening to rapists and you say we are throwing our lives away. Look at your self because you go and waste hours every week learning about things that never took place and are useless. At least people in this game enjoyment and fun out of it instead of your priests that rape little kids.....Wait thats a sin so really just shut up and stop preaching about that kind of thing.
@JGitaly those hands do look reallly wrong. LOL

I think you could go with Pistus Strike instead of Dryad's Favor. It could really lay it on those Vampires next time, and Caw Blade as well. Unless you see a lot of Green in your meta.
Love the deck though, I'm surprised more people haven't gone for the super buff route with infect.
I'd think about sideboarding Strata Scythe for deck thin and buff, and Strength of the Tajuru could be fun, especially as a response to card:Black Sun's Zenith. Either could rotate in for the Tanglecord's against creature light decks.
I'd flat out cut Cystbearer for Rot Wolf , he'll make blocking options much, much, much worse. And I suppose could make the Lash into a card drawer if you really want it.
Even if you're not abusing it for fatties, I think I'd sideboard Summoning Trap for control. Copperhorn Scout may help with Gideon Jura decks if they dominate your meta as well.
I'm curious if Lead the Stampede could help with your hands in a pinch, since what you're really lookin for is getting creatures out. It will speed up grabbing them even if you don't see one in the top 5. Could be a sideboard option for Black. Ancient Stirrings could do the same but more selectively, and speed up getting the Lash.
Love the deck though, I'm surprised more people haven't gone for the super buff route with infect. I think it's definitely something wizards wanted, but I don't think it will happen until certain Planewalkers rotate. Still I'd think this should be a really popular extended option, especially with cards like Might of Oaks still in the format.

When Running this deck, the side board cards replace the Wall of Tanglecord . I rather draw one of my Side cards, then a wall, in almost all cases. The only Reason the wall is in the opener is for Vamps, stompy, and control. That 0/6 with Reach can stop most control decks kill conditions.
