Treasure Cruise its so good

I don't like Treasure Cruise. Early, it's a dead card, late, it's underwhelming because it's only 3 cards, and it nukes other spells that I might want to reshuffle and replay. Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think it's right in here.

Curiosity + Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind

TMBRLZ combat damage is not the same as pinging your opponent with an ability

@ Alamitre: While that statement is correct, Curiosity doesn't require combat damage. It works with ping abilities like that of Niv Mizzet or Hellrider.

This deck really is sweet.

Have you considered Jace, Vryn's Prodigy  ^Flip? Low cmc, loots, and plays back wheels; maybe in place of Merfolk Looter, Mad Prophet, Bonded Fetch, or Forgotten Creation. My only argument against jace is he's a bigger target for removal

Jace is good. A solid suggestion. I don't own one though so didn't include him. I'll keep it in mind though

Cut Opposition for Rites of Initiation. Opposition seems like a win-more card and this deck really shouldn't ever NEED it. Time will tell if this swap makes sense.

Just to elaborate on the whole Curiosity + Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind situation.... I did run run it originally, but both cards need eachother to be great... and I don't run tutors in here - leaving fate to decide what I draw. I find that Niv and Curiosity are a very unfun combo, and people panic when they see him hit the board. I cut them both because I just don't want to go down that avenue of play.

Fair enough. I just know it provides great card draw. I made a glassy reanimator combo deck in Modern with it so I was fully appreciative of the fun the combo provides.

With all that draw power, you may be able to abuse Dream Halls
