I purchased most the cards to build living end and only ever tested it with friends against affinity and smallpox (pre deathrite ban) so smallpox isnt even viable anymore. I didn't play simian spirit guide and most 4-0 weeklies and MTGO premier lists don't play guide.
I don't know the answer to this question, but I am curious myself as to why living end does well online but rarely seems to be a tier 1 deck at paper tournaments.
So TL:DR it seems that guide is not a necessary piece to me, and may even be a deterrant because its RFG so can't be brought back with Living End
for comparison on your sideboard :1 Circle of Protection: Red1 Damping Matrix4 Ingot Chewer4 Leyline of the Void2 Ricochet Trap3 Sudden Death was the sb of a living end that made 3rd/4th in a recent modern premier

@rivers1019: Thanks for the reply. I like the idea you showed me about 1 circle of protection red against burn. Any ideas on what to take out of the board for it? Thanks again.

Mainboard:
I would take out the Jungle Weaver and go with at least 2x Simian Spirit Guide for a turn 2 Fulminator Mage .
Also Dryad Arbor should be a one of so you can Demonic Dread it if there is no other target available.Forbidden Orchard for the same reason - it also helps manafixing.
Sideboard:
Ricochet Trap against control is a must have.
Gnaw to the Bone is sweet against aggro and Faerie Macabre works well against affinity or other decks that try to cheat their own creatures into the graveyard.

@Emplic: I definitely agree that the Jungle Weaver could be swapped for something better. I do think Leyline of the Void is superior to Faerie Macabre and it would be redundant to have both. I like Sin Collector over Ricochet Trap because its more proactive and trap may not be able to counter a Cryptic Command , which is abundant in my meta. Has Dryad Arbor worked for you? It has been too fragile for me and never helpful.

Dryad Arbor is also usually tutored up in response to a sac outlet by using fetches.

Yea, Dryad Arbor helped me cast Demonic Dread multiple times.
also what OpenFire said.
and it's a chumb blocker which can come in handy in certain situations

I appreciate it the feedback but for me Dryad Arbor ends up being more problematic than helpful.

@Border: Thanks for the comment, I assume by OP, you mean me. I'm a big fan of Avalanche Riders in your list because land destruction is really one of Living End's strengths. I just have trouble knowing what I would remove for it. I gravitate towards removing some copies of Architects of Will but I really want as many one mana cyclers as possible. Here's hoping Khans of Tarkir gives us some new options for the deck!

@GoblinBushwacker: Thanks for your comment and +1. I like your budget version. For me I think I'd rather have Jungle Weaver than Ridge Rannet as the two mana cycler just because I like cycling as many guys as I can in 1 turn, with as many 1 mana cyclers as possible in the deck. Gave you a +1 and thanks again!
