Maybeboard

Presumably when you sacrifice a Treasure for mana, you're cashing it in. But what happens if you only tap it to pay for something? Is that like investment banking?

The main impetus behind the deck was trying to position Herald of Anguish as your finisher. He doesn't garner much attention, but he kind of does it all, doesn't he? He's a huge flyer. He trims your opponent's hand, and hopefully ways to answer him with it. He even comes packing removal... for smaller creatures, anyway. What more could you want? Oh yeah, he doesn't have to be a boatload of mana, either. Pile up some treasure tokens, cheap artifact creatures, and just-sit-there artifacts like Jet Medallion and Ichor Wellspring and you can tap them like mana to bring him out in a hurry. Good luck answering a threat like that so early!
