This is an lock down deck. Tap your opponent out completly while u keep attacking with vilgilance. One main problem of control decks are rush decks. I tryed to keep them from killing me by adding white and blue control for early game.
The key card: Opposition It allwos me to tap creatures, lands and artifacts. In general i can hold down strong creatures (tapping them after the untap step of my opponents turn) and his lands. If i get out enough creatures I can prevent him from playing anything but instants (which he can play just before I tap his lands). This is why i got a sideboard.
If Opposition is on the field I want to tap my opponents creatures and I want to attack. So i need vilgilance. Easy and cheap i can get it with Intangible Virtue. The creatures I got are both producing tokens, so it benefits every creature I got. If i do not get Opposition I am stil able to use the +1/+1 for aggro.
The creatures:Against creature heavy decks i got Blade Splicer. The 3/3 golem with firststrike is able to block almost all early game treatments and as a 4/4 vilgilance provides aggro. The creature as itself is for tapping.
Hero of Bladehold: Boosts all my attacking creatures and produces even more tokens. Mainly for early game aggro but can help for the lategame control, too.
The control part consists of counters. I chose inexpensive counter spells so I am fast in the early game. But as i am able to tap out lands they are stil of a good use later.Against aggro decks they slow the enemy down, but against control I might be able to at least slow his key cards and with my good ealry game aggro defeat him. My board wipe is
Hour of Reckoning
. It is a bit expensive but as I got many creatures I can play it early as turn 4. Its second benefit is that I do not wipe my own baord.Tamiyo, the Moon Sage provides a tap and carddraw. Even the enblem is very helpfull. (but he is to expensive this times ..)
The card draw is kind of bad and I am unhappy about that.Ancestral Vision is fittign perfect. Its a realy nice one drop and provides many cards. In addition to that its not slowing me down in any point. Nice card atvantage against control.
Sideboard: Mainly against instant based decks. As I am not able to tap his lands before he can play those. Against creature heavy decks i added Dungeon Geists and Sleep.
Vision Charm
and
Shimmer
is just a troll against mono colored decks and are propably going out after soem playtests. Also I am thinking about changing
