Elite Arcanist is a wonderful card for control. There is nothing like repetitively casting the same spell for lockdown. And the best lockdown spell is Render Silent . So I combined the two, threw in some transmute to find it, defenders to slow down the opponent, and Duskmantle Seer and Phenax, God of Deception for wincons.
