Locust of the Wheel

Commander / EDH

MTG_Nerd

The Basics

a somewhat generic locust god wheel deck, using wheels to draw into other wheels and so on.

you use the stall cards and cards that work well with drawing to get card and creature advantage over your opponents. you don't want to stall, because your opponents will team up after realizing that you just wheeled 3 times and have WAY to many locusts. you want to attack the bigger threat before they can you.

The deck is categorized under my custom categories, such as Wheels, Draw, Generally Just Good, Counterspells, and so on.

Lands: No explanation needed

-Draw: Pretty self explanatory, the usual draw to get to the wheels while getting Locusts as a added bonus.

-WHEELS: As you would expect, wheels. they don't have to all be 1 shot wheels, such as Wheel of Fortune. they can also be creatures, such as Whirlpool Warrior or Arjun, the Shifting Flame, which you can use more than once.

-Generally Just Good: Cards that work well with your commander/drawing, and are always useful to play.

-Opponents Commanders Hate You: those few beautiful cards that can ACTUALLY REMOVE OTHER COMMANDERS!/take control of them.

-Last Resort!: A card to play when your opponents are doing too good, and need a good board wipe.

-Counterspells: Useful in almost any situation, and can use them to threaten your opponents, offer peace, then kill them.

-Mana Rocks: Basically just lands.

A few of the cards

There are of course, a lot of cards, so I'll just touch on a few of them

Star of Extinction: other than being a decent board wipe, there are a few uses that people don't think of. I have been seeing Imprisoned in the Moon being played more and more, and not only is Star of Extinction a board wipe, but it's also a solution to Imprisoned in the Moon! just destroy the land that is your Commander and solved!

Imprisoned in the Moon: This card should be played more in Commander. it can turn almost anything into a waste, and if you put it on their commander, there is nothing they can do about it! (other than destroying the enchantment) This card should be played in a lot more commander decks, as I said before

Arjun, the Shifting Flame This card is FAR too strong in this deck. every time you cast a spell, you wheel? thats like saying, "Oh, you cast a spell? good for you! Have 4-7 Locusts!"

Enter the Infinite This is one of the main combos in the deck. it + Day's Undoing is like 70 locusts with no downside the locusts have haste to, so you can just play this combo out of nowhere and hit each of your opponents for lethal, and then next turn, shuffling it all back into your deck!

Im still working on this, so watch out for updates!
