@ Argeaux -- Aggressive decks (like yours) present a problem for this deck. Post board gets a little better, and if I start to see artifacts become more prevalent in my meta (I have yet to see someone run them) I'll sideboard Smash to Smithereens which should help. What was the biggest problem for this deck?

tbh your Sideboard might have turned the second match in your favour.
The biggest issue was that so many of my cards cost so little. That made Disdainful Stroke sit in my hand for a long time, and also let little spells through before your deck had the chance to stop them eg. Ornithopter for 0 mana with Ensoul Artifact on it for 2 mana made a very early threat.
You would have Sideboarded in more Negate in game 2, so it might not actually be an issue.
A bigger problem was that Gudul Lurker and Frost Walker both came out at a time when you only had enough mana to counter one.
Post Sieboard this could also be fixed up with your Nullify.
If I have time later tonight I'll throw a couple of Sideboards together for both of our decks, see how they play, and link you to them.

@ Argeaux -- Post board would likely include Wild Slash, Negate, Nullify, and possibly the third Anger of the Gods. I'm surprised that I didn't see any burn to deal with the Lurker and Walkers, but those matches happen. Let me know your results!

Have you considered Mob Rule? I feel like it could be a really good option in the sideboard. Once you have them low enough, just steal whatever remaining creatures they have and swing in with their own dudes. I know it's kind of janky, but AEtherspouts rotates soon.

Guess you're not running Spouts, but both are good cards, particularly against UR Thopters.

@ buildingadeck -- Hmm, interesting suggestion. I'll have to look into it. Nobody at my LGS is playing Thopters that I know of, it's just a shit ton of Abzan. Terrible time for me.

Ah, yeah, that isn't so much fun. Even late game, though, you can just steal all their Rhinos and swing in unblocked. It's gimmicky, but I remember the effect being amazing in sealed. (Obviously, different from constructed, but many decks are running all creatures 4+ or all creatures <4.)

Do you have any way to deal w/ Gaea's Revenge ? I feel like this will be going into many g/r decks, and your only way to deal with this would be vault. I actually think you should not make any changes, just know that you need to be taking out ramp effects in the green deck, to make sure you have enough time to drop ugin/vault.
The only card I could think to deal with it would be Volcanic Vision, but thats not a great card

I've been playing it (prior to Cuneo's sgc win) its so much fun and it was really cheap.... Against popular belief you don't NEED jace, vryns prodigy to make the deck work at all..... I believe that fiery impulse And send to sleep put in so much work its rediculous Cuneo's list played whelming wave but abzan has so many etb(siege rhino mainly) that its much better to tap it for 2 turns or cast fiery impulse or anger of the gods using Google Mana to kill their board.... I use the archive and googles as 1 ofs then play 4 fiery impulse and 2 roast 3 send to sleep 3 anger of the gods as my removal. Only things I've had issues with is that graveborne marauder guy swinging in for 10 (damage = # of creatures in graveyard) its critical to save roast or immediately get googles online against that guy...

Some new stuff from BFZ spoilers seem good for you.
Scatter to the Winds - Cancel, with an Awaken 3 cost of 4UU.
Blighted Cataract - land that taps for a colorless, can pay 5U and sacrifice it to draw 2 cards.
Horribly Awry - Dissipate for 1U, but only hits spells with CMC 4 or less.
Brutal Expulsion - a 2RU Venser, Shaper Savant that can also be a Magma Spray at the same time. The second bit can also hit planeswalkers.

I will be updating the deck(s) that I choose to play this Standard once we see all of BFZ. For now I'm sitting back and watching the spoilers roll in.

I just played your deck against my janky Monothopters.
It was a fun match but the Thopters did seem to get their action happening a bit faster.
