I like this deck a lot but why no seekers, buddy?

That is a good question, but the reasoning is that, for it to get lifelink, I need to play a non-creature spell. And I only have 18 of those, so while the lifelink is good, it wont activate every time I attack, and I like the fact that I can add lifelink to any creature with Eternal Thirst

Consider Valorous Stance over Reprisal for more protection and removal

So hard to focus with those Pecs flexing. From what I read it looks great.

I'd run 2 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth. Solves all black mana issues.
I like the deck, but be wary of Erebos, God of the Dead. That card will bring you to a sudden halt.

Thats what Erase, Banishing Light, Revoke Existence, and Utter End do for me. Because, 1 they get rid of delve because things are exiled, and two they get rid of any indestructible creatures or creatures that have a trigger when they die, since they are technically exiled instead of being destroyed. Works great against Scuttling Doom Engine. And at one point I did run Urborg, but I felt like it didn't really help me much in trying to get mana because by the time I would usually get it out, I already had either a swamp or a dual land out.

You're making me cry );

Do you hate Sunbond? This is a great deck, but all life gain decks should run sunbond! Sorry, it's just because I built a deck around it, and now when I see a life gain deck without it, it makes me sad. Anyways, I guess your deck doesn't NEED it. : P

Actually, this deck use to run Sunbond But I decided after a while that it really just seemed to slow me down. It was around the time that I wanted the deck to be a bit more aggro, so having a 4 drop enchantment kinda ruins that for me. This is the first iteration of the deck here > Life Line. And as you can see, it has sunbond, and I did have a lot of fun running with it and getting creatures to 100/100. But usually one quick removal spell gets rid of that really quickly. Sooo I decided to opt out of it.

Sick deck. At first i thought it was going to be terrible, but i playtested it against a deck i am working up and it actually holds out pretty good. so well done, i might have to borrow a thing or two from this in a lifegain deck that i am working up.

+1!

This is good stuff Firetra! I'm loving this deck! I made one similar for casual play not to long ago, if you get a chance check it out and let me know if you have any suggestions: The Lifelink Ammendment. Would love your feedback. Anyways, great build man!

Updated the deck a bit and did an overhaul of the Sideboard after a pretty lack luster FNM, went 2-2 where one game I just got mana screwed, and the other game I got destroyed by dragons.

I would love to add those in, but this is a standard deck and those are illegal in the standard format.

My fear is... and don't get me wrong here, because I really love this deck.

My fear is that there will be games where we will not see Ajani's Pridemate and without the pridemate we lose the central combo. I would definitely bring in Whip of Erebos or maybe even Gravepurge just to make sure the Pridemate stays around. Great deck otherwise.

Gravepurge does sound interesting. At the moment I have Palace Siege which can do the same thing, but I will keep it for later in case Origins does something about mass creature removal.

Ok, I'm back from lunch!

Out of all honesty though, cut the Soulmenders. They are absolutely terrible. Instead go for the complete playset of arashin clerics, or maybe an additional land or two. I'd also cut Godsend, Eternal Thirst, Palace Siege and Gods Willing. Spear of Heliod isn't very good either. Maybe try something like this:

-2x Eternal Thirst
-2x Palace Siege
-3x Gods Willing
-2x Godsend
-3x Soulmender
-2x Spear of Heliod

+1x Wingmate Roc
+2x Hero's Downfall
+3x Sorin, Solemn Visitor
+2x Archangel of Tithes
+4x Thoughtseize
+2x Temple of Silence

But that's just me. It may also be a bit expensive for you, but if you own these cards, I would love to see someone try it out! : )
