Perplex does have the Transmute effect which allows you to get any 3 drops

Non-foil, this ring in at $1164 on TCGplayer. If you cut a few high end cards though, the price really drops... Cards like Underground Sea, Invoke Prejudice, Mana Drain and Force of Will specifically.

Regarding Perplex, I used to run it, but it underperformed. I won't be running it, but thanks for your passionate suggestion.

Awesome deck mate! I really love the dimir theme and feel your effort to make mill great again!Few questions i have though, how is Tree of Perdition working out and why ? And how about Perplexing Chimera + Homeward Path?

Oh and also Keening Stone+ Traumatize might be worth a try

Thanks Zaon, those are all good suggestions, but it's a matter space... Too many good cards, so little space in the deck. I have included all of those at one point or another... Perplexing Chimera and Homeward Path are fun but a very small interaction and not really worth including on their own. Keening Stone and Traumatize are both great, but are either one-shot, or costly to use repeatedly... Personal choice really.

Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver fits here. Also try Helm of Obedience + Leyline of the Void. Could you review and upvote my Brago, King Eternal?

Hahaha I JUST cut Ashiok. Helm and Leyline are great, but need each other to be great, plus I want stuff in the yard, not exiled. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker can be pretty punishing whenever he hits an opponent. At least four cards milled on hit, which is equal to his toughness, or potentially more. A lot more.

Wall of Frost has a big butt, and is annoying to attack into. Exploit as necessary.

Sphinx's Tutelage accelerates the milling for a small mana investment, and absolutely destroys monocolored decks. If you need to loot lategame, it can do that for you too.

King Macar, the Gold-Cursed has good synergy with the tapping ability. Mill three on end step, untap, exile a threat, get a one-shot mana rock! Repeat as desired to make opponents cry.

Dimir Signet is a quick way to accelerate early game to drop Phenax earlier. Also fixes mana, which is always great.

Wight of Precinct Six, while a bit vanilla, can get absolutely MASSIVE over the course of a game. Multiples of Mortivore never hurt anybody, except your opponents.

An EDH deck with access to blue that doesn't run Counterspell? BLASPHEMY AND SLANDER, I SAY :P

Psychic Strike is another on-theme counter spell. Might be worth playtesting.

Awesome decklist!

Thanks Austin_Smith_of_Cards for the suggestions and commentary.

Most of your suggestions will fall on deaf ears, simply because I have already tested them and cut them in prior iterations for reasons that that were explained (I hope)

I don't run Counterspell because I run Mana Drain instead.... A straight up improvement lol

The two suggestions you did make that I will look at again are Psychic Strike and Wight of Precinct Six.. Stay tuned, they may make a cameo once again.

Love the deck man! I run phenax as well and have been building on Kruphix, God of Horizons for a long time and now that I feel that it's done I can go back to my original baby and that was my mill commander deck. I'll be taking alot of ideas from your deck, but I'm not a huge fan of counter cards so I may try a different route and I already run a lot of similar things. I'll let you know how it goes mi amigo!

Ravenous Trap Exile an entire player's graveyard at instant speed for zero mana if they put 3 or more cards into their graveyard? How can't you run this card!

I like the deck idea a lot! And having Jace Beleren and Jace, Memory Adept is a good idea, too, for a deck like this ;-)

But, I also wanted to mention some recommendations for this deck: Liliana Vess and Consuming Aberration. I think they'd fit perfectly with this deck; Liliana Vess brings back all creatures in all graveyards, and Consuming Aberration gets bigger as more cards go into the graveyard. Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker would be a good addition, as well.

Also, one last thing: I'm kind of new to Magic, and I recently made a Nekusar deck (called Screw you, Nekusar). I think it works, but could you please check it out and tell me how it looks in the comments section? Thanks!

Wake Thrasher if you tap everything before your untap step it can get gigantic

Simic Manipulator is also useful for stealing creatures/commanders and it gets bigger when you play bigger buts
