Gameplan is simple, jund out your opponents with value, recursion, threats, and several combos (Both jank and non jank). This deck is fun, somewhat gimmicky (but still pretty good I think) and a blast to play with all the synergies available. It is a combination of Omnath's beatdown plan and Gitrog's value engine and combo potential, the main goal is not necessarily turbo out a combo, however it can set them up quickly with the right hands, but to set up a strong board state quickly that pressures life totals while always threatening to win with a combo.
The full traditional Gitrog combo with all of the bells and whistles of going off at instant speed and such is not included in this list, it took up too many slots and was essentially a worst version of an actual Gitrog deck, if you want to play that combo with all the ins and outs, just play Gitrog as your commander. Instead I kept the basic package, a sorcery speed combo is available to generate infinite mana or damage, and technically you can go off at instant speed if you have Seismic Assualt or Borborygmos Enraged already out if you either draw into Dakmor Salavage with Gitrog already on the field or with Chord of Calling to get Gitrog or Borborygmos Enraged on the field with Dakmor in hand.
Notable Combos:
Gitrog Monster + Dakmor Salvage + Seismic Assault or Borborygmos Enraged = Infinite Damage
Gitrog Monster + Dakmor Salvage + Skirge Familiar = Infinite Black Mana (mana dumps notably include Torment of Hailfire and Walking Ballista)
Borborygmos Enraged + Dakmor Salvage + Keen Sense = Infinite Damage
I should note Keen Sense can also be put on Omnath with a sac outlet and a ton of element tokens for extreme value and card draw, it does not necessarily need to be saved for this combo.
Scapeshift with Prismatic Omen out and a lot of lands and/or Splendid Reclamation (especially if you have a way to copy Valakut) for a ton of damage, not infinite but should kill at least one opponent if not two easily or wipe the board.
As a Lord Windgrace deck I looked pretty hard to see if he could combo somehow. Outside of an insane set up with The Chain Veil that I didn't want to waste the slots on I found this combo, I have included because it only requires 1 additional spot I didn't already have (Claws of Gix) and I think its pretty cool to be able to use your commander as a combo piece, even if it requires a pretty difficult set up. As with the rest of the list, feel free to cut it if you don't like it.
Lord Windgrace + Claws of Gix + Lotus Cobra or Stone Seeder-Hierophant + Command Beacon (field or GY) + Cabal Coffers (field or GY) + Prismatic Omen/Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth + at least 6 other lands. -3 Windgrace to return Command Beacon and Cabal Coffers to the battlefield, adding RG to your mana pool with Lotus Cobra/Stone Seeder-Hierophant. Activate Cabal Coffers for 8+ Black Mana (RG and 8 Black in pool). Sacrifice Lord Windgrace and Cabal Coffers to Claws of Gix, gaining 2 life (RG and 6 B in pool). Activate Command Beacon to return Lord Windgrace to your hand, and recast him (BBB remaining in pool). You have now returned to the start of your loop, with at least 1 extra mana in your pool and two life gained.
There are some very jank 5+ card combos that revolve around Stone Seeder-Hierophant, I think the easiest one to do (its a stretch) is Stone Seeder-Hierophant + World Shaper + Volrath's Stronghold + a land sac outlet + Goblin Bombardment or Purphorous, God of the Forge (with a way to sac World Shaper) or Valakut (most likely with Prismatic Omen out, using one of the triggers to kill World Shaper) or Omnath (for infinite tokens) + some sort of card draw (Tireless Tracker, Gitrog, Horn of Greed) plus all the lands you want to make mana. Can do infinite damage or infinite mana.
If you can't tell, Stone Seeder-Hierophant has a TON of synergies with the deck and is super useful. It can also be paired with Zendikar's Roil and/or Omnath + Perilous Forays/Thawing Glaciers to make a lot of tokens, damage when combined with Purphoros, God of the Forge or a lot of Clue tokens with Tireless Tracker, more synergy if you can sac the lands to Gitrog to find Dakmor Salvage and start looping or even just draw some cards for value.
It can also generate infinite mana and infinite land drops with Cabal Coffers (Producing 5+ mana)+ Drownyard Temple (tap before you sac) + a land sac outlet. Add any landfall triggers to the combo for several infinite effects. Notably this can be done at instant speed on you opponents turn (Infinite Omnath blockers or response to a board wipe with omnath is rather hilarious).
Non infinite but good combos that most likely win the game are Tooth and Nail, mostly for Avenger of Zendikar combined with Craterhoof or Purphoros, God of the Forge. Can also find Gitrog plus either Borborygmos Enraged or Skirge Familiar if you have access to Dakmor Salvage if you don't think the damage will get through from Avenger+Craterhoof or Purphoros or one of your opponents is at an absurdly high/infinite life total or for whatever other reason.
The deck has some interaction to fight common hate pieces and slow down your opponents, but there is certainly still room for additional removal, especially in certain metas. I hope to make cuts in the future to up my ability to fight hate and slow down other combo decks as I playtest the deck. Currently, Beast Within is a catch all to any targetable permanent, with Krosan Grip and Abrupt Decay as answers to almost any common hate piece what will stop you. It does have 2 fog effects, it can recur glacial chasm indefinitely on upkeep sacking it and then getting it back with something like Crucible of Worlds or use Constant Mists to stop any beatdown plans.
Obviously single card replacements for budget options include anything on the reserve list (they were over half the price of the deck at one point), the duals can be switched for other value lands or basics or the duals that enter tapped unless you have two or more basics (You also have amulet so downside is pretty low) Mox diamond can easily be replaced with a land of some sort or even another mana rock.
There are a lot of little synergies to look out for like recurring value lands and creatures. It is still a work in progress, so I'll be updating the list constantly.
