Ok, so I have been working on a Peer into the Abyss / Underworld Dreams combo deck for quite a while now. The interaction works by having Dreams out on the battlefield and then casting Peer into the Abyss on your opponent. They lose half their life total, draw half their deck, and then Underworld Dreams kills them with a ton of triggers from drawing cards. Problem is, most of the time the deck is way too slow assembling the combo pieces (which is what plagues pretty much every combo deck). Prior to rotation we had more removal in black that we could use to help keep the board nice and tidy while we dig for combo pieces, cards like Ritual of Soot and Cry of the Carnarium can't help us anymore to get our combo pieces. Titans' Nest was another really good card to help dig for combo pieces and also filling up the graveyard meant Escaping Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath could happen more frequently and get us some draws and health. I went away from that a bit with the drop of Zendikar. I added the Landfall Cobra, Lotus Cobra to help with mana fixing. Three swamps can be a bit difficult even with Cultivate helping us to fetch them and with the 8 fetch lands we have in the deck. Since we don't have much in the way of board wipes anymore, I thought we might try chump-blocking our opponent's nonsense. What better way to do that then with Scute Swarm. So we get Swarm onto the battlefield, ramp as quickly as we can while digging for combo pieces, and hopefully Scute Swarm can throw up a bunch of tokens as a sort of living wall until we can go off. As of this moment the deck list below reflects the cards I currently have available to me in MTGA. I have some placeholders in there as filler until I can get more wildcards, namely Tajuru Blightblade and Foulmire Knight are just filler for the time being. An alternate win-con was Peer into the Abyss with Teferi's Tutelage on the battlefield. You draw out half your deck (say 24 cards average), it mills your opponent for 48 cards. Once I have the wild cards to spare I will probably put those cards in the Maybeboard below into the Main deck in place of the Blightblades, Knight, and possibly even the Tutelages.
