Thank you for your feedback Naksu!

I love Ephara, my only issue is that I don't think I will ever have the devotion to make her an effective blocker, the draw is always nice though. Luminarch Ascension and Sphere of Safety are both in another deck of mine but you're right, they would be great here too!

I really like Gift of Immortality and could see myself swapping it out for something, not sure what though, yet.

I love the synergy with Luminarch Ascension producing creatures on both turns for Ephara draw, but maybe here with just 1 ofs it might be a far fetched combo :D

With the amount of mana rocks you have in the deck i feel Armageddon and Catastrophe should be in your deck.

Thank you for your suggestion Jay3401. Both of those cards would be a great addition to the theme and I will look into playtesting them, again thank you so much!

Also Mesmeric Orb could be useful in this kind of deck since you can recur your stuff and hurt your opponents at the same time and add Open the Vaults to the mix and you'll almost always come out on top.

Could you upvote my St Traft Azorius Control? Nice deck +1.

This seems like a pretty solid deck, I'm pretty new to this format and to be honest, I don't see myself ever going back to standard.. a solid artifact deck is definitely on my to do list. Just a thought on an addition to this though.. Argentum Armor.. this is one of those powerhouse artifacts that would pay dividends when trying to keep your opponents board state relatively barren. Like I said, I'm new to EDH, so could you check out Bloodlust Legion and see if it could use some tweaks?

aekrusty, do you just copy/paste your seemingly one and only comment? ;)

Thanks for the suggestion HavokizIceCold, Argentum Armor is definitely a fantastic card. However, the mana curve is already very high for this deck and there are not many creatures, so I would have to think for a while about what to cut for it. I am glad to hear you are enjoying EDH! If you are going to go artifact however, I recommend playing a more causal variation (depending on your playgroup) so that you are your friends can have a good time. EDH is a casual format, and a lot of my other decks are made to be more interactive and fun, so just always remember to keep that in mind when choosing a commander. Happy Brewing!

Hi, man. How about this?

Darksteel Mutation // Imprisoned in the Moon - it can stop some kind of generals.

And also copy options:

Copy Artifact // Copy Enchantment // Followed Footsteps // Mimic Vat // Sculpting Steel // Shapeshifter's Marrow

Gift of Immortality // Shielded by Faith for Hanna protection

Love Hanna, Ship's Navigator! I just picked up one for my Zedruu deck I'm running (Needs Help!) Zedruu, the Not-So-Greathearted

Have you looked at Dovin Baan?

thanks for your suggestions everybody! I really like the idea of adding more removal or protection, so I may be adding Darksteel Mutation or Imprisoned in the Moon or Shielded by Faith soon. I'm going to say no to Dovin Baan for now as it is just kind of a feel bad "hate me" style card which I am not a fan of in this build, but thanks again for the suggestion!

I can't believe no one has recommended Unbender Tine yet! Great combo with Hanna, and it can untap many of your artifacts like Grim Monolith, Mana Vault, etc.

Hc_Clan says... #14

I have no idea! Probably because it's conditional, and needs other artifacts to be great. The great thing about Voltaic Key is that if I don't have the other cards to make it great, I'm only out 1 mana, as compared to four with Unbender Tine. but thank you for the suggestion, I will consider adding it in.

Unbender Tine untaps any permanent, not just artifacts. I figured it would be good combo with Hanna and your other tap creatures, and your lands that tap for >1 mana.

Great point! I didn't even consider that! I wonder what I could cut for it...

Right... that's the reason it's not in my hanna deck...

Skeptical about the viability of running only 27 lands; that's essentially the equivalent of running 16 lands in a 60 card deck--something only decks with the absolute lowest of curves (all 1 and 2-drops) tend to do. This deck looks relatively mana intensive by comparison, and it's not like you have a lot of cheap cantrip effects like Brainstorm or Ponder to smooth out your draws.

Sure, I realize you've got some artifact ramp--but less than you think, actually, with some of the more substantial pieces (Dynamo, Lotus, etc.) costing 3-4 mana to cast, thus requiring ramp themselves. I'd really recommend going to at least 33-34 lands, maybe with a few utility lands like Buried Ruin to mitigate any mana flood issues. While on the subject of similar effects, might want to take a look at Argivian Find.

Hey Rusty_Shackleford! I think I understand where you're coming from. If I saw other decks with as many lands as this one, I'd be compelled to make the same comment you have. I'll have to say that this deck truly can run well with the number of lands and rocks it is currently running. Throughout months and months of playtesting, I've almost never had to worry about being behind on mana. Brainstorm and Ponder are good cards and I might put them in the deck now that you mention them, but I have had cards like Buried Ruin and Argivian Find in the past and they're not necessary because our commander can do that ability for us. Realistically speaking, I also don't really need her in the deck, but she is nice to have for the recursion and she gives us access to a Mindslaver combo.

The only other option for a commander that would be viable in these colors are Grand Arbiter Augustin IV and Sharuum the Hegemon which are both quick kill targets, Hanna is much more likely to survive a few rounds and has a lower CMC.

How bout an Arcbound Crusher?

February 20, 2017 4:25 p.m.

Hc_Clan says... #23

Not a bad suggestion TheDoctor_Y2K, I like how t he effect is global! Could also have synergy with Paradox Engine combos..It might do more work than Lodestone Golem. I will consider it and playtest it a little, thank you for the suggestion!

I have to agree with Rusty_Shackleford. I playtested the first turns of a game with the playtest function here on tappedout. I did this 25 times and had mana issues during the first turns in 30% of the games. This is way too much for my liking. Some edh decks can work with such a low amount of lands, but usually they have a much lower curve and card draw at one mana (eggs for instance).

What mulligan rule do you use? This could have an influence on the results.

maddoxmtg says... #25

I would hope the only one that matters. Full mulligan.
