Its all about the zombies. Started playing magic back at the start of the Innistrad set and have always had a love for zombie decks. This is a slightly updated version on my zombie deck.
Creature
Blood Artist - The only non-zombie creature card in the deck. The ability is the reason for this card. With a large creature count of 28 this is a very useful card.
Diregraf Captain - Cheap 2/2 zombie card which can be casted early on or sacked for Lotleth Troll
Diregraf Captain - Powers up my zombies and utilises a similar ability to Blood Artist
Geralf's Messenger - very useful and powerful card. Undying and making the opponent lose 2 life each time it enters the battlefield is a must.
Gravecrawler - one of the most annoying zombies ever. It dies, it returns. Works well with Blood Artist and Diregraf Captain abilities.
Lotleth Troll - potentially a very powerful zombie with regenerate. Obvious choice for the deck.
Mikaeus, the Unhallowed - late game can be very useful. Giving all creatures undying and +1/+1 can make my swarm very, very powerful.
Unbreathing Horde - mainly a blocking creature. Midgame can come into the battlefield around 4/4 and will last several attacks before it actually dies.
Instant/Sorcery/Enchantment/
Endless Ranks of the Dead - a great way to boost my numbers. Can add up o a Killing Wave/Blood Artist massacre or simply an overload of attacking creatures.
Killing Wave - in the deck as a Blood Artist/Diregraf Captain combo finisher or to get me out of difficult situations.
Sinister Possession
- originally had
Crippling Blight
in the deck but though this new Dragon's Maze card would be more useful. At least with this card my opponent will be damaged.
Zombie Apocalypse
- Just 1 for that late game massacre. Mwahaha!
Sideboard
Basically the sideboard results to a take on having creatures in the graveyard to counter board wipe. Not sure how it will go though.
Dreg Mangler - An alternative card to Unbreathing Horde if I ever need to be faster rather than defensive.
Ghoultree
- Can be rather cheap with creatures in the graveyard and hey, its a zombie.
Gnaw to Bone - if I need life gain.
Grisly Salvage - can be used as land gain and can put creatures in the graveyard.
Win Condition:
Blood Artist and Diregraf Captain and Killing Wave combo kill. Uses Endless Ranks of the Dead to get lotsa zombies and then unleash Killing Wave with a Blood artist or Diregraf Captain on the field.
Simply depleting opponents life.
