'The most merciful thing in the world, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all of its contents' -H. P. Lovecraft

Riddled with horrors beyond any fathomable fear, lurking just around the corner; from beyond; slithering from the very creaks of insanity, evolving from delusions of madness to ideals in great powerful mastery..."bascially, dis deck tho!"

What is it?!: This is not just a 'thing on a doorstep', but a deck constructed thematically aimed towards stories of H. P. Lovecraft. It functions as a mill/discard to get and activate 'things', and workout combos that depend on said things dying and your library diminishing. WHY IS THE LIBRARY ALWAYS EMPTY?! 'Soon all will perish, and only the overlords of our past will rise'- this deck quite literally does just that!

Many cards in here, creature wise, are for the fun of giving cool abilities to the commander: Simic Manipulator is a GREAT card to exile with The Mimeoplasm and a creature with excess counters: Mimeoplasm just takin what he wants.

Graveplay?! Naturally there are a few grave born cards, Unearth and Vigor Mortis , however, there's more focus on big things that rely on lots of dead things; Ghoultree and Umbra Stalker . Why?!?! The deck mainly utilizes mechanics with milling and sacrifice, getting those trusty eldrazi scions to sac-gain from it- and use the spare mana for big guys. The deck CAN function in a couple different ways, most obvious- whether you're going to mill your opponents, or yourself. The options are totally there, as Suffer the Past can do some serious mischief if both players (or all) have heavy graves, and Laboratory Maniac is actually a somewhat practical card if you should mill yourself.

Certain cards arent the best, and if you know of better ones or replacement mechanics please do tell! Theme is important, but so is functionality. Many of the cards you call tell (if an avid reader of Lovecraft) are playing characters, places, or objects.

I'm sure many of you fellow Lovecraft fans have opinions and ideas as to what could be changed, and I'd LOVE to hear them! So go ahead and comment if you think something can be swapped out or made better...till next time, 'I can see them off in the distant dark shores...slithering...walking among us...'
