LSV esper control AVR

Unknown

rustypond

The deck sets up with traditional control elements, filtering its draws with Think Twice and removing creatures with Mana Leak or Doom Blade. Day of Judgment and Curse of Death's Hold serve their usual roles by buying you time. But once this deck enters the midgame, it begins to play differently than most control decks.

Using the miracle Entreat the Angels as a finisher, Luis's deck can treat the opponent to fighting off a flight of Angels in the midgame. Lingering Souls clogs up the air even further, providing blockers or attackers as necessary. Sorin and Gideon also serve as even more ways to move from control to aggression, threatening the opponent with damage.
