On 3/29/2025 I had the opportunity to participate in a Chaos Sealed event at one of the LGS' in my city. My packs were as such:

• Brother's War
• March of the Machines
• Murders at Karlov Manor
• Foundations
• Bloomburrow
• Ravnica Remastered

Initially my plan was to make a Green/White token deck because a lot of my pool's removal was in white. However, my friend Strange looked at the rest of my pool and told me "AstroAA, you're a fucking idiot. Play Yarok, the Desecrated and Tatyova, Benthic Druid. If they go unchecked, you will win." So, I followed his advice and with 10min left in the 50min deck building period I pivoted into Sultai to great success. Terror of Towashi, Long River Lurker and Invasion of Lorwyn   were my MVPs. My games went as such:

• Round 1 - Against B/G/W Toxic - Lost 2:0. This was against my friend Strange, who helped me pivot into this deck. He had like 7 or 8 cards in his pool with the keyword "Toxic", and so he decided to be an absolute degenerate. I managed to hold my own in both games 1 and 2, but he out-lasted me.
• Round 2 - Against U/B/G ??? - Won 2:0. This was an interesting matchup. There were moments he'd pull ahead, and then moments I'd pull ahead. He made my Yarok, the Desecrated unable to untap/attack/block, so it sat there most of game one until I Bushwhack'd it against his Abhorrent Oculus, killing it due to Yarok's deathtouch while also dying in the process, removing the enchantment that was preventing him from really being super useful. I then brought Yarok, the Desecrated back with Terror of Towashi and quickly killed him. Game two he just did not have an answer to Bonded Herdbeast  's flipside Plated Kilnbeast  .
• Round 3 - Against U/B Aristocrats - Won 2:1. This was actually against the owner of the store. Game one I got him after getting Yarok, the Desecrated and Tatyova, Benthic Druid out and had no responses to them. Game two he managed to keep my board pretty empty and killed me with a bunch of cheap creatures I couldn't deal with. Game three I got him because I kept hitting him with deathtouchers like Daggerfang Duo or fliers like Wing Commando and Basilica Stalker that he could not deal with.

All-in-all I had a lot of fun and learned a valuable lesson in that even if a specific color looks weak, always always consider it and look at the grand scheme of things and how different cards could potentially interact. I had completely missed Yarok, the Desecrated + Tatyova, Benthic Druid or Invasion of Lorwyn  . I had also missed Daggerfang Duo milling things so Terror of Towashi could bring them back. I'm so glad Strange called me a fucking idiot and helped me build this deck instead of whatever pile of crap I was intending on initially piloting.
