Sideboard

Maybeboard

Not too many Sevinne decks on TappedOut, which is kind of a shame because I think it has some potential. Still feels like I'm handicapping myself by playing Sevinne over Elsha, but this deck still feels pretty neat. Got some fun token shenanigans, and excels at building value over time, eventually winning with Ral, Storm Conduit combo or Thousand-Year Storm. Will be playtesting and updating this list as it evolves.

Maybeboard is cards that were cut from the first draft. Side are cards I'm interested in trying out.

Update (8-26-19)
- Skullclamp (not enough token production to warrant, mostly just sat around and did nothing)
- Frantic Search (Got some decent value, but often wanted to keep my cards instead of discarding them)
- Chain Reaction (not as good as the other 'quake effects, and wanted more flashback cards)

+ Oona's Grace (looking to try this as a synergy with Land Tax)
+ Pariah's Shield (replacing Skullclamp in the equipment package, should be fun)
+ Mass Diminish (To prevent getting my face beat in so much)

Update (9-2-19)
- Firemind Vessel (was the worst mana rock in the deck)
- Forbid (needed it for another deck)
- Nezahal, Primal Tide (always felt weird, and I have better cards to replace it with)
- Steam Augury (Felt bad, and there were better targets to grab with Sunforger)
- Starstorm (The worst sweeper)

+ Devil's Play (Felt like a better wincon, and something that could be forked to great effect)
+ Dockside Extortionist (The deck I was saving him for never transpired, so he's back. Insane card.
+ Blasphemous Act (The best sweeper)
+ Windfall (Working towards a wheel subtheme, part 1)
+ Reforge the Soul (part 2)

Update (9-9-19)
- Isolated Watchtower (the scry is somewhat useful, but I draw all my basic lands out with Land Tax anyways, so it never really came up)
- Jaya Ballard (objectively bad, could do better in a mono-red deck, but I have better payoffs to include)
- Thalia's Geistcaller (probably just in the wrong deck, but never felt like it was really impactful)
- River Kelpie (a sad cut, but again, not enough payoffs to create real advantage)

+ City of Brass (cut this from another deck that had better color fixing, decided to include it here)
+ Day's Undoing (wheel theme pt. 3)
+ Incendiary Command (wheel theme pt. 4)
+ Narset, Parter of Veils (wheel theme payoff, guaranteed to make everyone hate me)

Update (9-9-19)

- Equipment Package (Sunforger, Pariah's Shield, Sword of the Animist, Steelshapers Gift, Lightning Greaves. Feels pretty slow with this deck's new focus.
- Murmuring Mystic (Probably the worst token producer here)
- Elsha of the Infinite (Expensive and fragile if you're not winning immediately)
- Day's Undoing (Works against the flashback cards, and I have a better wheel now)
- Oona's Grace (Performed worse than expected, trying out new draw options)
- Jeskai Ascendancy (Not very focused on token swings anymore)
- Backdraft Hellkite (Can struggle if I'm not winning through combat)
- Dockside Extortionist (More consistent mana sources were needed over this)
- Radical Idea (A decent draw effect, but doesn't synergize with flashback support)
- Assemble the Legion (A sad cut, but we needed to focus on assembling a win)

+ Rise from the Tides (A strong wincon to play into how well we fill our graveyard)
+ Chromatic Lantern (Really needed the fixing provided by this cad)
+ Psychosis Crawler (A wincon that works well with our wheels)
+ Narset Transcendant (A spellslinging planeswalker that helps with our new subtheme)
+ Sevinne's Reclamation (More flashback, and can grab back Narset Veil for wheel combos)
+ Will Kenrith (The best spellslinging planeswalker)
+ Beacon Bolt (Better with our higher rate of graveyard filling)
+ Unsubstantiate (Versatile removal that fills out our STR much better)
+ Scour All Possibilities (Great with Sevinne)
+ Quiet Speculation (We have a lot more flashback cards now, so I want to try this out)
+ Electrodominance (Both a Quicken and some extra damage. Another thing to fork)
+ As Foretold (Should be easily abusable with all our instants)
+ Pulse of the Grid (Can dig us out of a hole, and fill our graveyard)
+ Echo of Eons (Synergizes too well with our wheel punishers, and kills with Psychosis Crawler)
