When Lynde, Cheerful Tormentor was released a few months back I was immediately infatuated with her unique design and sneaky build arounds to make her a fairly strong commander. For starters Lynde is a Grixis () commander focusing on Curse enchantments. Enchantment based strategies usually fall under colors. Making Lynde work for myself was a difficult task, however I've found that a pseudo-group slug, combo control strategy works very well. Lynde is a super fun commander that brings a lot of chaotic, disruptive energy to the table!
From what I've found, Lynde plays best as a slow, unstoppable suppressor and combo control commander. The plan is to pull the strings of our opponents by directing them towards others while slowly killing the table. When it comes to cursing our opponents, it's important to know what strategies they are playing to get the most value out of our curses. For example, if Opponent #1 is playing a landfall deck and Opponent #2 is playing a creature token deck, then we should curse Opponent #1 with Curse of the Restless Dead and Opponent #2 with Trespasser's Curse. These kind of curses can stop some opponents dead in their tracks if they attempt any infinite combos.

Goad effects such as Bothersome Quasit and Shiny Impetus keep the opponents from coming after us. Paring goad effects with attack based curses like Curse of Verbosity and Curse of Opulence allow for us to gain more value from opponents being attacked. Constellation effects also make for a pleasant addition of various value with Protean Thaumaturge, Grim Guardian, and Doomwake Giant.

Lynde uses a lot of different types of cards and strategies to get the most out of her draw ability while keeping our opponents in check. During the early game, playing curses on ourself with Lynde out is a great way to get some card draw. Sacrifice outlets with Tavern Scoundrel, Infernal Tribute, and Claws of Gix allow us to both move our curses around the table if needed while taking advantage of Lynde's powerful draw ability. Curse of Misfortunes is the most powerful card in the deck. Playing it on ourselves with Lynde out allows us to tutor for any curse we need, attach it to an opponent, and draw off of Lynde's ability without taking any of the curse's negative effects.

Demonic Tutor- Let's us tutor for whatever we need! Great way to get Curse of Misfortunes or a sacrifice outlet.

Clever Impersonator- Strong clone that can copy any nonland permanent.

Estrid's Invocation- Clones curses and can blink itself to attach to other opponents or ourselves if we have Lynde out to trigger her draw ability.

Paradox Haze- Grants us an additional upkeep trigger which pair nicely with Lynde's ability or doubles down on some curse effects attached to our opponents!

Fun Inclusions!

Court of Ambition- Puts a good amount of hurt on our opponents while bringing the monarch to the table.

Rite of the Raging Storm- Gives everyone a powerful 5/1 body each turn that can't attack us.

Wheel of Misfortune- A wheel effect tied to a silly side game!
