Thank you for checking out my deck :D Please don't forget to +1 if you like this list.

This deck is a Solider 'tribal' deck which I wanted to make due to some of the cards like Preeminent Captain and Obelisk of Urd being printed in M15.

This deck will only be legal in the time between M15 and Khans of Tarkir, due to a number of cards from Return to Ravnica cards cycling. Depend on what Khans brings, this deck may be changed to be legal post-rotation.

I would appreciate any comments/suggestions/criticisms you have on this deck. It is still a prototype so I'm very open to making changes, however I would like to keep with the 'Soldier' theme.

The Main Board so far

Creature (21)

Boros Elite - 1 drop soldier that gets big when attacking with lots of dudes. Since this deck is all about attacking with a lot of dudes, this is a good dude to drop on turn 1.

Soldier of the Pantheon - The other 1 drop soldier. His protection from multicolor occasionally lets him be unblockable, but being a 1 mana creature with 2 power is good enough.

Precinct Captain - 2-mana 2/2 with first strike is nice and he even makes more dudes if he hits a player! Awesome.

Brimaz, King of Oreskos - THE KING! A decent sized dude for 3 mana, that has vigilance and makes more solider dudes when he attacks OR blocks. The vigilance in partiuclar is quite useful for casting Devouring Light potentially for free WHILE attacking/blocking.

Preeminent Captain - A weak body for 3 mana, but being able to put other soldiers in to play (avoid counter spells) is golden. Works extremely well with cheating Lavinia of the Tenth in to play

Iroas, God of Victory - Thanks for the suggestion MattMarker and batman8942. Trying out Iroas in place of Paragon of New Dawns . Paragon didn't perform as well as I had expected, so I am testing out how much Iroas helps my alpha-strikes.

Tajic, Blade of the Legion - Can survive any mass sweeper effects and can be a very powerful attacker when his battalion triggers. There is something to be said about being a little bit of an off the wall choice. I've had opponents try to -3 Vraska the Unseen on Tajic even after they read he was indestructible.

Sorcery(2)

Launch the Fleet - Added in after I was able to obtain more Obelisk of Urd and due to the great feedback I've gotten on this site. Cheaper, adds more power to the board and works perfectly with Obelisk of Urd to finish games off quickly.

Instant (11)

Raise the Alarm - 2 dudes at instant speed. Benefits from being a white creature as well as a soldier and helps pay for convoke costs.

Brave the Elements - Cheap, instant, gives ALL of my creatures (minus Mutavault) protection from a color. Awesome offensive / defensive spell.

Devouring Light - New convoke card being printed in M15. Hard casting this for 3 mana is still amazing removal, but being able to cast it for free by tapping creatures instead of land makes it even better. Works well casting it with the vigilant tokens that Brimaz, King of Oreskos makes. Depending on how the meta changes, may just use Detention Sphere instead.

Fortify - Added in because of its versitility to either win the game or protect weenies from Golgari Charm / Drown in Sorrow.

Land (22)

Plains- Not much to be said. Its a white weenie deck...

Sacred Foundry - A new addition to allow Tajic, Blade of the Legion and Boros Charm to be played if needed.

Battlefield Forge - Basically Sacred Foundry numbers 5 and 6.

Mutavault - Almost format defining on its own, Mutavault is immune to most sorcery-speed removal and gets benefits from Obelisk of Urd.

Artifact (3)

Obelisk of Urd - Part of the reasons for making this deck. Although 6 mana looks expensive, with so many creatures out this becomes cheap (even free) thanks to convoke.

Enchantment (1)

Spear of Heliod - Anthem effect that can also remove creatures that attack me.

Updated Sideboard (NOW WITH MORE RED!!)

Azorius Arrester - Sideboarded to allow extra threats to be played against control, but also still be useful in creature match ups to help my tempo.

Boros Charm - Another reason that I splashed red is to play Boros Charm over Rootborn Defenses. Mainly to make all of my guys indestructible and survive Supreme Verdict. Double strike and 4 to the face is also relevant sometimes.

Fortify - Sided in against Golgari Charm / Drown in Sorrow.

Devouring Light - More instant speed removal for the mid-range creature decks.

Imposing Sovereign - Not technically a soldier, but taps blockers down as they enter the battlefield, allowing my weenies another turn to swing in for damage.

Pithing Needle - Still goes in every sideboard while it is still standard. Stops any activated abilities that I need it to stop, including but not limited to opposing Planeswalkers, lands enchanted with Underworld Connections , blood rush on Ghor-Clan Rampager and Pack Rat.

Celestial Flare - Nice removal for when a big creature attacks on its own. Particularly useful against 'hexproof' creatures and Blood Baron of Vizkopa.

I will be adding the FNM results of this deck below, with details on each match up and how each game went.
