Update: So this deck was made originally during Eldritch Moon, and I wanna optimize it now that THREE new sets have come out. Any and all advice is wanted and welcome!
The deck strategy can be summed up to one sentence; Press the advantage. You will want to keep them on the defensive at all times, and push as much damage through as is possible.
Oh, and blocking is usually useless, so don't bother.
Specific Deck Info
If you can play Sinister Concoction turn one, you have an advantage, you may not believe me, but there are four reasons for this.
1- It's a turn one play.
2- It's removal!
3- It's a discard enabler.
4- It's intimidation, in other words, it makes opponents wary of playing their good creatures, giving you time to aggro. DO NOT waste it on small creatures early game, or on a decoy creature.
Ruinous Path and To the Slaughter for superfriends, because they are an absolute pain.
Other aggro decks hate a turn one Harsh Scrutiny.
Against tokens, you will want to put in Yahenni's Expertise.
Usually gets me 3-1 at fnm.
Number of lands - Deck's functionality
1- Can only cast Sinister Concoction, otherwise can't function.
2- Can cast most creatures in the deck, acceptable for opening hand.
3- Can cast all cards using madness. Best number for opening hand. Super combo powa with Alms of the Vein and Collective Brutality.
4- Capable of casting two cards in a turn without madness.
5- Full/Best functionality.
Upvotes are always appreciated!
Update: Collective Brutality shot up in price... well, it's still under $75, so HA!
