Cascade, cascade, cascade, cascade,... This went on for many hours.

Yidris is a very fun commander in fantastic colours for fast stormy shenanigans. Green helps you get more mana, blue helps you get more cards, red has some of your burny win-cons, and black is... doing whatever black mana's whole shtick is. I just tried this deck out for the first time online using Untap.in and it was a blast! I like playing budget decks with my friends, but I only really play graveyard decks and infinite combo decks (sheesh, no wonder people don't like playing against me). I decided to make something new and this fit the bill perfectly!

Anyway, the deck is all about value and lots of it. Hit someone with your commander (made easy with cards like Aqueous Form and Rogue's Passage ) and give your spells cascade! Then do normal storm things and get extra cards from each spell cast. Except, that's not all. There's a few ways to make Yidris' value go through the roof. Slap a Shriekhorn on him and he'll give each spell you cast from your hand 2 cascade triggers. Play Harmonic Prodigy and get another from each for a total of 4 cascades from each spell. That's like Apex Devastator but on every card your storming with!

The main wincon combo I've found that works exceptionally well is Yidris, maelstrom wielder + shriekhorn + harmonic prodigy + guttersnipe . Certainly not an infite combo, but it plays out like this:

  1. Have all 4 cards in play with Shriekhorn attached to Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder

  2. Swing at someone with smaller creatures (ie tokens deck, control, goblins) with Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder to help guarantee that he will deal combat damage. Alternatively you can use an evasion card like Aqueous Form or what have you

  3. Yidris will deal combat damage twice thanks to double strike, and on each trigger Harmonic Prodigy will give you an additional trigger for a total of 4 Yidris triggers

  4. Cast an instant or sorcery of CMC 2 or 3, and have Guttersnipe trigger twice due to Harmonic Prodigy, since Guttersnipe is a shaman, which will do 4 damage to each opponent. I recommend a spell of 2 or 3 not only because it is easy, but because it will narrow down the options of what will be cast so that you're more likely (I believe) to hit 4 instants and sorceries. If you want you can edit the deck to guarantee this outcome, but it will be at the expense to some ramp (mana rocks/dorks, enchantments)

  5. The 4 instants and sorceries will be cast from exile and go onto the stack, with the casting of each dealing 4 damage to each opponent.

  6. Have spells resolve. At this point, Guttersnipe alone has dealt 20 damage to each opponent.

  7. Repeat steps 4-6 as needed. This is easier if you cast lower cost spells as part of step 4, or some of the spells you cast in the process are ritual spells.

I hope you guys enjoy! If you have an comments or recommendations, feel free to let me know! Just keep in mind with card recommendations that I am trying to keep this deck fairly budget (less than or equal to $100).
