While sonnet666 has some valid points, I'm going to have to disagree on several fronts.

I agree that's why MLD is good - if you have the board advantage it secures the win. However, you don't have "pure" MLD, you have MLD attached to mass damage spells that wipe away your creatures. That's not what you want in an MLD deck, generally speaking, because you can't recover as fast as your opponents (because they often have better draw engines).

I concur with Winter Orb and Boom/Bust (assuming you have no problem being "that guy" of course).

I agree with PartyJ somewhat - Regal Force and Shamanic Revelation are conditional and, critically, can't help you recover after a board wipe. And while I agree that Acidic Slime is overplayed, Harmonize really is a strong card in red-green (the efficiency of the card draw is off of the charts - name me one better and unconditional source of card draw in these colors).

Wildfire, Destructive Force --> Ruination, Winter Orb --- will have to find a spot for Boom/Bust (maybe even Wave of Vitriol)

Everyone is giving really good comments and stuff but all I want to say is that I LOVE that altered art of Ruric Thar, the Unbowed. Honestly it's just awesome to a super cool deck with him as the commander (He was my first EDH myself Big bad Gruul), mine isn't nearly so good but I love him as a commander :).

Just wondering if you could explain something for me. Jokulhaups I see this card played in a lot of more "competitive" decks and was just wondering if you could explain the power of the card to me? I mean clearly it IS powerful but when I look at it I feel like it would hurt just as much since it destroys all creatures as well.

On Jokulhaups

You get to float mana and drop some stuff AFTER everything has been destroyed. That, and you can deliberately build your deck to more easily recover after a total wipe. Your two main advantages for using Mass, Multi-category destruction are deck-building and timing.

I might use it like this:

Untap --> Upkeep --> Draw --> Main 1 --> Attack --> Main 2: Tap Out --> Jokulhaups --> A bunch of small spells (like mana dorks), play a land, maybe even Eternal Witness or something --> End

Typically, 3x Storm Crow, but it's a highly situational card for me. Just in here because it's fucking good, and any advantage over the opponent in a symmetical stax environment is great.

Not that experienced with cEDH but how about Runic Armasaur or Lifecrafter's Bestiary for card draw?
