I am still curious why you playtested against my deck with such good decks : )

They are nice. I'll have to try them out. No hexproof kinda sucks. But a faster clock is great! +1 if you like!

I agree with those. Except the hydra too much $$ right now.

The deck looks interesting, though ultimately is pulling in too many different directions. Hydra and stalker are one direction, all the ramp however, helps only the three hydras. Also, 7 counterspells is far from enough to help this win.

You would benefit by focusing on control and winning in the late game, or by focusing or a midrange strategy. I recommend both - some suggestions for change:

-3 hydra, - 1 zegana, -3 trygon (should be stricktly SB), -2 aspect, -4 birds, -4 courser, -1 rancor (4 will be too much in the new setup).

That may seem like a lot, but it will be worth it, the ramp needs to go, savagery is counterproductive with hydra, aspect is unnecessary (can be killed in response), hydra is needs a lot more control, as does zegana, and trygon is good in the SB only.

18 cards go away.

+4 Mana Leak , +4 Delver of Secrets  Flip , +4 Plasm Capture , +3 Mistcutter Hydra , +1 Vapor Snag , + 2 Negate

This will allow you to control the battlefield better and provides you with evasive threats. Delver will flip more easily with around 20 sources in the deck and is 4 turn evasive clock with a rancor on it. Mana leak and plasm are additional counters. Plasm has additional synergy with one of the new win conditions Mistcutter Hydra .

These suggestions are also a lot more budget friendly. You have 11 threats total, and a bunch of ways to pump them. Go get them!

Haha WOW! Nice comment. I really liked those suggestions, that work nicely I think. But ultimately that just changes the whole deck and it is only played casual. : )

I would suggest swapping Mana Leak for Rune Snag since you are running 4 of them. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Rune Snag you play in a game will be strictly better than the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Mana Leak barring grave hate.

Thanks PlattBonnay!! Good call.

Alchemist's Refuge is useless, it costs way too much mana to use its ability, just make them forests

July 8, 2014 9:23 p.m.

Eh, this is casual and I like the utility : )

Have you considered Mystic Snake , Plaxmanta , and or cheaper counterspells like Spell Snare and Spell Pierce ?

July 15, 2014 10:46 p.m.

I do need those cheaper counterspells but their price tag hinders me currently(i dont have any cash currently for them). I dont dig the manta for this build. The snake has potential and I have 3 to test with. Thanks for your comment : )

Wow, this deck works perfectly and is really fun to play. I like the combination of aggro and control in my 2 favorite colours ;) +1 from me.

This is quite honestly an awesome deck. Would you consider Mystic Snake ? I don't know if I recommended this already.

July 29, 2014 3:23 p.m.

I would consider it. And thanks SantaGremlin : )

Have you considered adding Cryptic Command as a curve topper? Your list is already more than half blue so it wouldn't be that difficult to get to triple blue, and the flexibility it offers is fantastic.

July 29, 2014 5:35 p.m.

Yeah, the price tag hurts though.

July 29, 2014 7:18 p.m.

Consider adding a third color to allow Worldwake Man-Lands? That way you can have threats that don't take up card slots.

Celestial Colonnade is a great finisher and Creeping Tar Pit is consistent.

Looks awesome to play though!

Also!

Savage Summoning to protect from countermagic, and keeps mana open for counter spells.
