I really appreciate all the comments/conversation guys. Means alot to me. If I get some cash for some cards I'm trying to sell, I'll be picking up some of these suggestions.

Put in 1 card, get out 1 card. Doesn't put you ahead. Thins out your deck? Sure. Let you fix your next draw. Absolutely. But you're still giving up a card to get a card... If you want card advantage, go with Sphinx's Revelation

Obviously Rev is good ; p But this will stay 2 colors only. Plus, I like Simic.

I think he was just giving an example of a card that provides card advantage (Sphinx's Revelation )

I love everything is this deck except Delver of Secrets  Flip ...I get why you chose him...but have you considered another cheap hexproof card like Witchstalker in place of him? Also...glad to see I'm not the only one who likes Alchemist's Refuge . That card is awesome. :p

Silhana Ledgewalker could be another viable replacement...its very similar to a green Invisible Stalker .

I agree that the ledgewalker is great but the delver is a 1 drop. I need a 1 drop creature in here ; )

I used to run Primordial Hydra instead of the mistcutters and won many games off of Alchemist's Refuge ing it into play EOT to swing for lethal : p

There are affordable Fetchlands out now :)

I would take out Think Twice . Even divination is better then that.Ps. Really similar to my deck, except mine has less counter and more hydra.http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/face-the-hydra-rampcontrol-ug-version/

Think Twice is much better in a deck that runs counter spells. U can leave mana open to counter stuff but if they don't cast anything counter worthy, u can cast Think Twice at the end of their turn

No love for @young pyromancer? :(

Wrong color I'm guessing

While I do want a RUG deck, the extra price tag to make it good isn't feasible for me currently.

what about Quirion Dryad? with all the blue spells you are casting, it should mean pure value over a few turns

Seems solid. Thanks.

why not something like negate? or essence scatter, or many other counter spells?

June 21, 2015 4:08 p.m.

synonimous, as opposed to what? I run the mana leaks because they aren't restricted to a certain card type. Yeah they stop being useful after a while but that's where my voidslimes and plasm captures come in.

What about Stifle, for storm and twin? Just great utility in the toolbox.

I'd recommend Remand and Misty Rainforest. The former is a very versatile counterspell, and can even save your own things if need be, or bait the opponent into fizzling their own spells. The latter can fix for mana, and thins the deck of lands so you dont draw into them late game. The fetchlands I wouldn't run on a budget build, however. I like the deck!
