This seems like a pretty fun deck as well! I run Feldon in my Alesha, Who Smiles at Death deck, and he is an absolute rock star! I love him. I know that he is out of your price range for an initial build, but Dragonmaster Outcast would definitely be on flavor for this deck and a lot of fun besides.

That's a great card! Not too expensive, either. I could see it working its way in to the initial build.

I pulled a Combustible Gearhulk at pre-release so he's gonna go in!

Also, pulled a foil Panharmonicon. Should be perfect for this deck!

Fun stuff! I like the Gearhulks, they seem pretty fun. And I am completely, totally jealous of your foil Panharmonicon, congrats! I want one pretty badly for my Alesha, Who Smiles at Death deck, it will do great things for her. I'm glad you like the Dragonmaster Outcast!

I'm under the impression they're super-useful for Feldon, but I almost wonder if I have TOO may rummaging and looting effects. Mad Prophet, Rummaging Goblin, Burning Inquiry, Cathartic Reunion, Faithless Looting, Shattered Perception, Tormenting Voice, Wild Guess. I think it's good though.

I think that playing the deck is really the only way to decide what you want to do with it man. I have had decks look great and fun on paper, then be hellishly clunky in play. I think that your creature base is good, and because of Feldon the amount of discard power you have is not concerning. Especially since overall you get to choose what goes into the graveyard with an exception or two. I like that you have both Strionic Resonator and that beautiful foil Panharmonicon. Just in case you are not aware, Illusionist's Bracers does not work with Feldon of the Third Path since it is a mana ability. So if that is why you have it in here, I would suggest replacing it with something else that is more beneficial to the deck.

UnleashedHavok

Feldon of the Third Path does not have a mana ability(an ability that produces mana). Therefore, Illusionist's Bracers is an auto-include.

I'm confused. Where can I find this ruling? I have read so many times that Illusionist's Bracers cannot be used to copy Alesha, Who Smiles at Death's ability, so I have not used it in that deck.

iBleedPunk says... #10

UnleashedHavok that would be because Alesha, Who Smiles at Death's ability is a triggered ability. Triggered abilities use the words At, When, and Whenever whereas activated abilities are "Cost = effect"

And mana abilities are abilities that create mana, not ones that cost mana to use.

September 30, 2016 12:34 a.m.

Because the way the Bracers reads, it says if it is not a mana ability (I understood it to mean that you tap mana to use the ability)...... So I thought that because of that obnoxious text, you could not use Illusionist's Bracers with creatures like Alesha and Feldon where you pay mana for their respective abilities.

I think that helps Faceless_Being.... It's still frustrating, but I understand better. Thanks.

Daretti, Scrap Savant needs to get in as soon as possible. He's not even that expensive. All three of his abilities mesh perfectly. He and the Grimoire of the Dead should've been in the initial build once I saw how cheap it was!

I like your deck! Reminds me of my first iteration of my Feldon deck. I think a couple of inclusions that have worked well in playtesting of my deck have been Sequestered Stash and Geier Reach Sanitarium.

Indeed! Both are on the short-list for the next round of upgrades. Thank you for the upvote!

finally someone who is as stingy as I am!i swear the people at our card shop basically make me look like a peasant. I have like a $200 something dollar main deck..which you would think is expensive, right? WRONG. Dudes I play...minimum of $500 with no foils. I really wish my shop was less competitive.

Starke of Rath doesn't work the way you think it does. Since the trigger that is attached to the Starke token is a sacrifice one and not a destroy or exile it won't work. This is because you can't sacrifice a creature you don't control and by the next end step it would be under your opponents control.

Oh shit, I dare say you're right. That's a shame.

October 26, 2016 1:38 p.m.

BalkanDS says... #21

The only way it'd work is if in response to the trigger of it going to your opponent, you sac it with an outlet.

Thanks for the comments on my Feldon deck, Optimator.

I noticed that you were unsure about whether Sundial of the Infinite would let you permanently keep the tokens you brought onto the battlefield with Feldon. I only discovered this recently, but you can. The trick is knowing when to tap sundial. You have to wait until your end step when Feldon's sacrifice trigger is put on the stack, then tap Sundial to exile that trigger and end the turn. You go straight to your clean-up step and get to keep your token. The key is waiting until the sac trigger is put on the stack or else you'll have to sacrifice the token at the beginning of the next player's end step.

Looks like a fun deck.

Your deck has given me a few ideas for my Kurkesh and his amazing artifacts-o'-death!!! I really like what you did here. +1

Looks like a lot of fun. Also, I bet you were so happy when they printed Combustible Gearhulk. Tailor made for this build!!

With the Sundial of the Infinite already in the build, have you ever considered adding Last Chance, Final Fortune which are the cheap versions of Warrior's Oath? Also, props for the Magitek reference!

This deck seems really awesome! If Sneak Attack is in your budget range, I'd really recommend it. It's all kinds of broken with Feldon, but it is quite expensive.
