This is one of my first decks that I have been able to make with my own cards, it's designed to use things like Brain Maggot, Banishing Light, and Oppressive Rays to prevent the opponent from getting out or using creatures while Underworld Coinsmith , Nyx-Fleece Ram, and Grim Guardian provide lifegain/slowly kill the opponent.

I thought that Ethereal Armor would cover the lack of aggression in the creature pool, as most of the deck is enchantments. The control elements of the deck should be able to stall long enough to make a huge armored-up creature.

It's also worthwhile having Underworld Connections to trigger constellations as well as a source for draw power.

I'm still looking for feedback, please comment if you have any ideas on how to improve this!

I took home an unexpected 1-2-1 record today, expecting to go 0-4 OR WORSE.

This deck works well against creature-heavy builds, I played against some sort of Jund monsters thing and lost game 1, but won game 2 because of the slow and steady life gain as well as kill spells. My opponent was running Domri Rade, but not Xenagos, the Reveler. If Xenagos was there, the game may not have gone well for me.

I lost 0-2 to a Naya control deck and a Jund Superfriends deck, chiefly because they were better, tournament-level decks, but also because I failed to draw the appropriate lands.

My win was against an Azorius control deck, which had almost exclusively cards from RTR. My opponent kept two two-land hands and failed to draw what he needed. He died to creatures pumped from Ethereal Armor.

I've decided to bump the land count up to 24 and also invest in dual lands, as I was mana starved for too long in the majority of my games. I've added Underworld Connections for card draw; I found my self top-decking an uncomfortable amount of the time.

The Sanguine Bonds strats I wanted to work failed, the one time I tried to cast it was stopped by a counterspell. So, it's out. I don't know about having 4x Brain Maggot, they were underwhelming because the creature is so wimpy, and also because I made poor choices in cards to take. An obvious solution to this is Thoughtseize, but that card costs a lot of money.
