Maybeboard

This isn’t the typical Mairsil extra turn combo shenanigans deck. I was actual inspired by Josh Lee Kwai’s “Tim deck” (from the command zone).

Basically it’s built around pingers and other tapping and untapping activated abilities. He built his in Temur, which is probably a strong color combonation for the archetype, with stronger ramp options and cards like seedborn muse to really abuse the strategy. But I have a personal preference for Grixis, and particularly liked this build so I could include pet cards Onyx Mage and Archtype of finality. Grixis also allows me to utilize my graveyard, and opt for more efficient looters over expensive pure card draw.

So what I ended up with was a sort of hybrid “Tim deck” infused into the usual Mairsil package. A package of pingers and creatures that untap permanents that intend to be played onto the field as they are. Along with a package of utility creatures and self untappers that intended to be exiled with Mairsil. Also benefits from the fact that if any pingers are destroyed trough the course of the game, they can find further value by exiling then with Mairsil.

More of a casual deck than spikey, and can be a bit unfocused if you draw the wrong combination of cards, but fun when the cards lineup right.
