This version of Maze's End is made for a multiplayer format, in this case Two-Headed Giant.

A strong deck ally to have would be someone with board wipes/removal/counterspells, so Esper control is fairly ideal. In my case, my partner using it is almost exclusively using control and will only be running 1-2 cards that would actually let him win. Maze's End will be the deck containing a plethora of win conditions.

Win conditions Maze's End: really strong because control has little to no ways to deal with lands mainboard. Also, in Two-Headed Giant, its a constant 10 turn clock where their increased life total has little to no effect. Crackling Perimeter and Deathrite Shaman: In normal 1v1 tournaments, Crackling would be a secondary win condition, but in Two-Headed Giant, the "each opponent" clause is really powerful. Tap gates for 2 damage each with Crackling and Deathrite Shamans makes the opposing giant lose 4. Combo that with all the instants and sorceries my ally will be tossing to the graveyard.

No sideboard because Two-Headed Giant rounds are a best of 1. corn
