Giving Doran a go since I seem to play mostly tribal decks. (Omnath and a legion of elementals EDH deck, modern elves, casual dragons and a Relentless Rats deck that hasn't seen a playmat in over a year) That's why I went with mostly Treefolk creatures but added some non-bark beaters that I felt were a must add into the deck like Abzan Beastmaster and An-Havva Constable . Tree of Perdition was a must add even though somehow it's not a Treefolk. I could also be talked into removing Dragonlord Dromoka fairly easily with good reasoning. With the exception of the beastmaster I've kept to the theme of bigger butts than punch since that's what Doran excels at.

The goal is to get Doran, the Siege Tower out early enough to start chipping away before much can be done. Then start stacking buffs and equipment.

I'm still up in the air about the land base, not sure 10 basics are enough and there isn't much land fetch for having access to G and after play testing the build a few times I find I just don't get a lot off trees out due to mana, but that might be because I'm testing against a buddy's voltron Sigarda, Host of Herons deck where it's a race to turn 6 before either commander gets out of control. Haven't had a chance to test it in multiplayer yet.

annnnd that's where this fine community comes in...I need help, not necessarily in making the deck faster, but just more robust and can stand up to barrage of hate that might come from all sides of the table.

Budget isn't really an issue with the deck since I have all the cards in the current build and I don't mind dropping some well earned $$ on some fun shenanigans.

Updates Add

+1 Dungrove Elder +1 Fendeep Summoner +1 Tree of Redemption +1 Trostani, Selesnya's Voice

-1 Thorntooth Witch -1 Dauntless Dourbark -1 Seedguide Ash -1 Karametra, God of Harvest

Trying Dungrove in place of Dauntless since their toughness is the same. I'm gaining a creature with hexproof and losing a creature with trample. Easy trade off for me since there are other ways to gain trample already in the deck,

Fendeep for Thorntooh another tough choice - I think the benefits of Fendeep Summoner+Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth outweigh the spot removal Thorntooth would provide. - I will probably go back and forth with this one a lot.

The last two I've given up land fetch in favor of saving my bacon with Tree of Redemption and Trostani's populate and lifegain triggers
