I've found another interesting piece: Sequestered Stash. A little costly, but still a reliable way to take back your Sword, that's been destroyed. Just a less efficient Buried Ruin. Well, it might give you some kind of a 'tutor' effect, but I wouldn't rely on that. Good synergy here is with the Sensei's Divining Top I guess.

hmmm... you forgot the fetch lands to thin your deck, which works really nicely in mono colored decks. other than that pretty cool deck

@ WarxuarozEntreiI have not forgotten about you guys! I have just been working a metric shit ton of hours... and tonight... I am drinking :) So I would like to say that my good friend Jack says hi. Also fetchlands feel like cheating, especially in mono color. I know, it's not but it feels so wrong so I don't do it. Also it just helps me find Mistveil Plains. Otherwise thinning isn't that much, from what I've read.

Also, Stash looks interesting but frustrating at the same time due to to the mill. I dunno about that one. If I brought in another utility card, it's probably be Dust Bowl.

I just want to add that my friend Jack is a real asshole! He always disappears when your looking for him! LMFAO Cheers friends :)

@Siq6Six Hey, man, check out my Fox! I made some improvements in terms of competitiveness adn I really think it kicks some major ass now. Last two FNMs I played I ended up second and first just yesterday! :)

So as amazing as Avacyn can be, I think I'd rather bring in Linvala, Keeper of Silence.

I am also going to try out Pentarch Paladin to see how the extra removal may turn out.

Divine Reckoning, yet another I'm going to try out. Sure, they keep their best, but so do I.

Finally, Magus of the Tabernacle. It's been in the cart for 2 or 3 weeks. I think it's worth a slot.

Linvala works pretty great against ramp elves. You need to protect her from being taken from you though!

The Paladin could be perfect if he costed one less or didn't have to tap.

Magus of the tabernacle could do great against tokens or goblins. In my veesion of the Fox it would hurt me too much I'm afraid. Let me know how it does!

What are your thoughts on the new cards from Amonkhet? I am interested in Oketra the True, Devoted Crop-Mate, and I think both Glory-Bound Initiate and Gust Walker are nice. Oketra's Monument looks good as well.

@Warxuaroz Looks like Devoted Crop-Mate would hit 9 creatures in my deck. Which could be nice late-game, but pretty worthless early game. Sounds good but I doubt it'll be worth it. The only thing I'm actually looking forward to out of this set is the fancy Austere Command.

Really? I think those new masterpieces are the worst alters ever printed. Worse even than future sight. They're unreadable and don't even look like Magic cards. But it's just my opinion. Good thing for me is Aven Mindcensor got reprinted. :)

@ Warxuaroz lol I hated MPS cards, until I saw them in person! I like the updated formatting for the card text too. It'll definitely be unique! If I end up pitching it for the original art, it'll be over the border.

So.... sleeved up some of the new cards & played a quick game of solitaire. Most ridiculous play I've had, wish it'd happen during an actual game. Have to share!!

Turn one. Ancient Tomb, Sol Ring, Oblivion Stone. Turn two. Plains, Inspiring Statuary. Turn three.. Reliquary Tower, Karn Liberated, keeping the W open for removal.

Well... That escalated quickly! Your deck sometimes doesn't look like mono W at all.

Banned Chrome Mox left me devoid of my turn 3 win combo, so now I can only look and admire. :(

Argivian Find was made for this deck. Also puzzled why you'd run Stasis Snare instead of the much more flexible Oblivion Ring or Banishing Light.

I'm pretty sure it's because of the flash. I myself had this in the mainboard much longer than o.ring\b.light.

Argivian Find looks really nice! I love discovering old cards like this one!

Thanks for the recommendations. Argivian Find looks good but theres no foil! What you see in the list is what I have in my deck box. This is my pet deck - not my "time to destroy" deck. Lol.

As far as Stasis Snare, it's all about flash. I'd rather hold it in hand and have it when necessary, then preemptively having to exile some bodies commander, when maybe they weren't going to come after me at all.

Damn. Bunch of cards I ordered haven't shown up in the mail yet.. hopefully the mail comes before I leave. I'll be going straight to the LGS tonight. I really want to toss in Linvala. Also the other fistful of cards for my Leov... errr, Tasigur deck. (Truthfully, that deck was originally Tasi & Leovold took over just cause he's a better commander. Stopped people from targeting my shit).

Oh ya, also got a Basilisk Collar coming. Not sure if it's gonna see play, but I am considering pulling Sword of the Animist for that, or maybe Skullclamp or Fireshrieker. My mana base has been cleaned up a bit & now the sword isn't such the necessity. Tho SoA + Em Shep is pretty dope :)

The deck is angry with me. Resleeved it, then shuffled the shit out of it. Over a handful of solitaire games, then two 1 on 1 games last night, and just got completely fucked on mana. Pretty frustrating.

Mate, you better not throw Endless Horizons in then. :)
I am thinking about it it now though, since it's one of very few cards giving me card advantage in this deck. I know it to be a great card and I love it on the field, but I don't play it strictly because it serves me back minutes and minutes of shuffling.

Been a while since I posted anything here. Had gotten pretty busy with work, as usual. Had a few game nights where 8 didn't get pulled out. Lately I've been playing a lot of my Tasigur, the Golden Appropriator deck, making some stupidly hilarious games. I've also been screwing around with a near stock Ydris deck, but using Vial Smasher & Kydelle. Thats been fun. Wheels for daayyysss! hahaha!

So back to this deck. Solemnity is an auto-include. Hands down. Shuts off Atrasha, shuts off Marcheese. Shuts off infect. Shame its only 1 answer. 1 very temporary answer. I also pulled a foil Hour of Revelation, which replaced Divine Reckoning.

Hey there, mate! Reading your post I was both glad you too see this card as as powerful as I do. But then I realised you are a happy man playing it against the decks you mentioned. It would also shut down Meren. BUT in my meta, there are some decks running black and, as it usually goes with black -Dark Depths. Solemnity would be awesome if you ran it yourself, but is horrible when you don't have that land and 20% of your usual opponents do...
Also works against Relic Seeker and Umezawa's Jitte.
