Intro

A dumb combo that should steal an unfair number of fast wins by exiling your deck with Mana Severance on turn 2 and following up with a turn 3 Thassa's Oracle. This works because they, alongside Abundant Harvest, are the only cards in the deck. This means that Mana Severance can guarantee that you remove enough of your deck to both draw Thassa's Oracle the next turn and have a small enough deck to win with it.

How to

  1. Mulligan until you start with Mana Severance or Abundant Harvest. You need one of these cards to win so mulligan down to a single card if you have to. (I'll be doing a maths writeup soon-ish, but for now just trust that its consistent enough)
  2. If you don't have Mana Severance in your opening hand but you got Abundant Harvest play the Abundant Harvest and pray for it to draw Mana Severance. If you draw the Mana Severance you can continue, if you drew Thassa's Oracle and don't have Mana Severance concede. You need it.
  3. Play Mana Severance and exile all lands from your library. This should leave you with Thassa's Oracle and / or Abundant Harvest in your deck. If you already drew both of them (you lucky duck), make sure to leave 1 land in the deck so you don't die to your next draw.
  4. Draw for turn. If you don't have Thassa's Oracle in hand you should have Abundant Harvest, which you can play to draw it. Then play Thassa's Oracle to win the game.

Feedback

Never played highlander in my life, just wanting to start and decided to get going with a homebrew. If I'm missing some core aspect of the format, I don't know how a card works, or you just think its a dumb idea, let me know in the comments! Any feedback or criticism is welcome and I'd appreciate any alternative land suggestions. This is an early draft of the deck so I'm certain there's room for improvement with the mana base and the use of utility lands. When I have time I'd like to get around to writing up the reasons behind my card choices and hopefully some matchup guides, but until then any help is appreciated!
