The main idea in this deck is to use Mardu Strikeleader to generate 2/1 tokens. These 2/1 are primarily for blocking. In response to the tokens receiving damage, I will sacrifice them using Qarsi's ability, and receive a big creature (hidden under a manifest token) I can then declare the manifest token as a blocker, and before the damage resolves turn it over into the big creature, effectively killing the attacker by surprise.
