My Marath Deck, heavily based on and inspired by McMayhem's Marath List: deck: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/ill-respond-to-that/.

I have tweaked McMayhem's list a little for my meta by removing many of the hate bears hate bears, as the decks in my meta tend to be Battle Cruiser/Big Fatties.dec

My goal for the deck is to create a solid birthing pod/midrange deck. Not looking for an uber-competitive list, however. I enjoy playing with the Planeswalkers and the small Equipment Sub-theme.

The typical wincons in the deck are:

(1) Kiki Combos

Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Restoration Angel

Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Zealous Conscripts

(2) Marath Combos

The typical Marath Combos, usually involving Mana Echoes + Marath, Will of the Wild or

Ashnod's Altar + Marath, Will of the Wild , and

a way to add +1/+1 Counters to Marath, like Hardened Scales, Doubling Season, Illusionist's Bracers.

(3) Purphoros Combos

Many times, has been Avenger of Zendikar + Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Purphoros, God of the Forge .

The Remainder of the deck consists of:

Tutors for the Combo/Hatebears: Worldly Tutor, Enlightened Tutor, Birthing Pod;

Removal: Aura Shards (an all-star), Swords to Plowshares, Chaos Warp;

Draw: Skullclamp, Sylvan Library.
