This deck has been my baby for awhile and I've kept it proxied for at least a year, switching out and trying new things. I'm starting to finally buy it now and I'm excited.

The deck uses Marchesa, the Black Rose's ability to stop creatures from dying, blink them back to the battlefield, and hold the board down.

Basically I assemble the pieces I need to create a board state that's really hard to get rid of, keep pressure, and get something game-ending like Insurrection out. If I attack the player with the most life with all of those creatures, they get counters, I sac them, they become mine forever.

Or, y'know. Hamletback Goliath. Or Malignus. Just something big and spoopy with Whispersilk Cloak usually does it.

The deck is strong in 1v1 matchups, but in multiplayer, you draw a bit of hate if you're too too quick with this deck. The slow build and protecting Marchesa are keys to success. If she resolves and you put a counter on her consistently, she's hard to get rid of.

The deck tips and falls to anything running bigger, scarier creatures. Tokens are an issue too. Also the lack of enchantment removal is a massive bummer. But it's Grixis, so it sort of comes with the territory.
