Love the Aura Thief and you should definetally put in Mer-Ek Nightblade for I sure will stick it in mine.

@Vile-Wesker Thanks for the suggestion. I will hopefully get some new cards for this deck soon so I will figure out where to stick Mer-Ek Nightblade when I make changes. I am also taking a second look at those arcbound guys, I will playtest with them soon.

Glad to hear that. Did you like my little story?Modular and Graft are massive with Marchesa on the field.It's also nice to modular that +1/+1 counter on Solemn Simulacrum So he can do his magic trick over and over.

Hey thanks for Giving my Marchesa deck a +1, I Thought I'd come check yours out and it is pretty sick man! Aura Thief is genius I have one laying around and never would have thought to use it in my deck. +1 to you Sir.

How effective is Gray Merchant of Asphodel in a three color deck? Do you find that you have enough devotion to kill off an opponent? Also why so much life gain in a deck where you benefit from being the lowest on the field?

I find myself being targeting quickly in my pod and wanted to have some lifegain if I find myself too low too quickly. Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Exsanguinate aren't necessarily meant to be finishers, but risk management.

B4BY3ATER I have the same problem when I play Marchesa, the Black Rose. Disciple of Griselbrand works wonders on that field. Also I've reuploaded my deck with some great additions. Scourge of the Throne, Bearer of the Heavens and Insurrection are game winning cards in a Marchesa, the Black Rose Deck. Drakestown Forgotten is also a great card the longer the game lasts. Being able to deal with pesky indestructibles and Pumping itself up by dying over and over.

Besides that I'm currently working on a Grenzo, Dungeon Warden deck.

So Sneak Attack is ridiculous in this deck. If you have the money I would recommend it for every Marchesa deck. I went off with some sac outlets, skullclamp and a plethora of creatures in my hand and on the board.

consider putting more exile effects in.Duplicant is a strong with Marchesa, curse of swine and silence the believers are great.Decree of pain is definately a strong board wipe for marchesa.Alter of Dementia is a good add, just incase someone goes infinite life it does provide an alternative win -con.Cauldron of Souls is super fun.If you want to make sure your creatures go unblocked, Filth and Wonder are fun cards to play with. (wonder especially)

Personally i enjoy Whip of Erebos, the lifelink is good to catch up + the revival can be handy to get an etb off.

Olivia, mobilized for war is a great card to add into this.Instead of Torrent of Souls, Cauldron dance is better. its 1 mana more, but you get two creatures + instant speed.

I like your suggestions @Latchking. What are some suggestions for cards to take out for cauldron of souls, altar of dementia, curse of the swine, and duplicant?

Cauldron - maybe lose unity of purpose? eh. Unity's untap is mild at best, you're just using it for the +1 counters with the chance that marchesa is on the field. Cauldron on the other hand is useful regardless if marchesa is on the field.Altar of Dementia - Personally i'd cut out ashnod's alter. but its a hard choice. ashnod's is really only useful on your turn; on the other hand in certain situations it can be even more useful than milling your opponent.Curse - chain reaction and blasphemous act are really similar, lose one of those for curse.Duplicant - lose kazuul, i don't get why you're playing that.

Mirri the cursed, if you're running this i think Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch is a good pair to go with it.
