Hey man, just wanted to return the comment and tell you congrats on the PPTQ. I'm usually at DCG on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well! Though I've been broke as of recently and have just been playing casual. But the deck looks fast and fun! Question: Scouring Sands in your sideboard rather than Magma Jet?

I'd be a little concerned about only having 1 answer to Whip of Erebos in your 75, as that's going to be a difficult card for this style of deck to beat. Possibly some Banishing Lights or Utter Ends might help.

kemperature Scouring Sands is great against all the token decks running around. Arc Lightning is a more versatile answer for the slot but rarely is a good tempo play and isn't very mana efficient. I also sometimes bring it in against ramp decks that focus on gumming up the board with Hornet Queen as they tend to run a lot of mana dorks that can be swept as well.

Magma Jet is competing with Lightning Strike and Wild Slash which I both prefer.

Can't help but think that Sorin, Solemn Visitor would be great in this deck. Any chance he makes it into your main?

rasta excellent deck man i play tested against it a bunch of times against a few of my standard ideas. the only one that gave it any trouble was my sultai midrange control deck villinous ugin in which i narrowly won 3-2 with out side boarding either deck im goin to play test them again later and wanted u to check my deck and let me know how u would side board against it. but either way way u get a +1 from me

+1 from me and nice list. For DTK what do you think of Thunderbreak Regent? In or out for your list?

JundGrixisNayaBantEsper I really like Thunderbreak Regent and plan on playing him. Not sure if it will be in this exact list though. I'd try them over Ashcloud Phoenix first. I might leave Chained to the Rocks for Hero's Downfall or Forests and ramp with the meta shifts.

Sounds cool! I am currently trying to pursue Jund Burn/Aggro. And this list is pretty inspiring and powerful. I really like the use of black and the hint is very strong with the mana base! Thanks for the response!

Sorry if I may ask but if you intend to use green would Atarka's Command be of any use?

March 8, 2015 2:04 p.m.

Atarka's Command is a fine card but I'm not sure how useful it will end up. It is not the kind of card you pre-slot into a deck but I could see it filling some role. Sending 3 to the dome and adding 2-4 damage to the board with the pump in an aggro deck seems like the ideal situation.

March 9, 2015 5:48 p.m.

G/R Aggro got a bump and Atarka's Command stops Siege Rhino in its tracks and may provide a bump to aggressive decks to get the win. I myself will be replacing Skullcrack with Atarka's Command and this will prove powerful. It gives power and it will definitely see play in G/R/X Aggro decks.

Anyway any DTK cards will see play in your deck in the future?

Roast is a card that I will play in most of my decks. In this style of deck I like Thunderbreak Regent, Self-Inflicted Wound, Ultimate Price and Dragon Fodder. Dragonlord Kolaghan is a consideration too but it probably should be ramped into.

I like old Kologhan over new Kologhan, especially with lots of goblin tokens on the field. Going T2 Dragon Fodder into T3 Goblin Rabblemaster, allows for a free Stoke the Flames that turn(before attackers are declared).

Impressive! There is no doubting the only way you are knowing you're playing a good Red Devotion deck is even when they push for a third game. Always.

I tried out this deck with a few modifications, and I would suggest swapping out the Phoenixes for thunderbreak regents.

http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/30-03-15-lXV-mardu-aggro/ My mardu which is geered for rotation but you should consider ojutai exemplars. Maybe not in the main but I like it more than ashcloud.

March 30, 2015 11:49 p.m.

CAinhorn I just got my Thunderbreaks in the mail last night and plan on giving them a go tonight. I'm thinking they might lead me to less interaction and a higher threat density. Thanks for the +1.

legacylister I watched the Exemplars in action this past weekend and thought they were okay. I liked how the tap a creature trigger can be a huge boon to tempo when looking to close. In this deck the mana can not support a or spell though.

Love this build! Pretty similar to the deck I'm running. Upvote!

Just letting you know that I created a spin of this deck in Modern. I haven't had this much fun in years. Couldn't have happened without your own original idea! Boros Monk Attack With Black In case you'd like to check it out. Keep up the great work man!
