Markov's Aggro Aristocrats

Commander / EDH*

whiteej

This build combines an all-out aggressive approach to Edgar Markov with an aristocrat theme to finish off opponents.

Heavy on one-drops like Stromkirk Noble and Pulse Tracker help make a ton of tokens early especially with the help of Cloudstone Curio . Ranger of Eos helps search out the key one-drops such as Viscera Seer . Using a critical mass of one-drop vampires helps amass a token army for Edgar to pump once he hits the battlefield and swings in. Metallic Mimic and Cathars' Crusade pump our team with more counters while cards like Abzan Falconer and Elite Scaleguard help us take advantage of the token synergy. Finally, Shared Animosity lets us explode with an enormous amount of power.

While most aggro decks suffer in the mid to late game, this deck supplements its aggression with a strong aristocrats/sacrifice theme to finish out games. All the fodder created from our one-drops and tokens, coupled with drain effects like Blood Artist ensure our opponents are punished for wrathing the board, and cards like Dark Prophecy and Smothering Abomination help us refill our hand.

Finally, the one-drops help enable some awesome combos. Enduring Renewal + Phyrexian Altar can produce infinite mana and vampire tokens with just a single one-drop, and can also make infinite Blood Artist triggers. Cloudstone Curio can allow us to create a ton of vampire token fodder by bouncing our one-drop vampires.

Overall, this deck's use of dual strategies, aggro and aristocrat, lend to a fun build that can play out in unique ways every game. Hope you enjoy, and feedback is appreciated!
