I would suggest you run Merciless Eviction . The exile mechanic is great for removing everything if someone makes permanents indestructible. I'm not sure how common that is in your meta, but it is a big problem in mine.

Thanks for the feed back i agree it is something i should get added. i feel like i am light on artifact removals and this is a great removal card to help with indestructible!

Soul Nova looks like a less good version of Silence the Believers , and I think, though I know it's pretty early to tell for sure, Hero's Downfall should be in any black deck because it targets planeswalkers. Path to Exile seems like it should hand in hand with Swords to Plowshares . Erebos, God of the Dead seems like a great way to use your life total for card draw and prevent your opponents from gaining life. Obzedat, Ghost Council instead of Tithe Drinker just seems like a stronger drop, and again, lifegain is nice.

And Demonic Tutor &/or Vampiric Tutor are far better than Diabolic Tutor

thank you for the advice cujo. I know vampiric and demonic tutors are much better. I would include them but i am trying to keep the deck under a set price. They will likely be upgrades later.

I am going to switch out soul nova for silence the believers and add hero's downfall. just need to figure out what to swap for them

I'm pretty sure Avatar of Woe +Thornbite Staff Doesn't work. They are two separate abilities so you cant tap Avatar an kill an get a free untap. You have to pay 2, Tap deal one in order to untap.

July 28, 2014 8:35 p.m.

Demigoron says... #7

No, the combo works. Thornbite Staff gives the creature 2 abilities: pay 2, tap: deal 1 damage AND whenever a creature is put into a graveyard from play: untap this creature.

I'd suggest taking out Revoke Existence for Hero's Downfall , you already run deicide and a lot of enchantment hate.

@Demigoron

I know that just you only do one damage. You don't destroy target creature.

July 28, 2014 9:11 p.m.

Demigoron says... #10

@CapnAhad

Avatar of Woe has tap: destroy target creature

Thornbite Staff gives whenever a creature is put into a graveyard from play: untap this creature

thus- tap: destroy creature- creature is put into graveyard: untap, repeat

Ohhhh I goofed I see the Thornbite Staff Gives it 2 abilities alone.

@CaonAhad and @Demigoron. Thanks for the comments and thanks for explaining it Demi. you are correct :) it is a great little combo as long as there aren't a ton of indestructible.

@cujo. Revoke existence is also one of my artifact removals I just picked it so i have more options. I love removals that give you a choice or take out multiple types of spells. instead of removing Revoke Existence what do you think about switching out Devouring Light for Hero's Downfall same converted mana costs. Doesn't rely on attacking/blocking and works on planeswalkers?

Blind Obedience , Unmake (exile target creature, if you need it), and Debt to the Deathless , especially if you had Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx or are able to use Liliana of the Dark Realms 's emblem.

If you're looking for another wrath effect that will deal with indestructible creatures, check out Black Sun's Zenith . It's an incredibly useful card since it scales as much as you want, puts itself back in your library, and it is available in an awesomely beautiful full art foil promo (which is possibly the best part :p

Also, the non foil promo version is pretty cheap. So, yay budget

Platt that's a great card. I love finding cheaper full card art options. thanks for the suggestion. I see a lot of indestructible creatures in my game group so this will come in handy.

Take Deicide out. its only upside is it removes ALL copies of the exiled card from the game.....which isn't an issue in this format, there are better options for enchantment exile. Return to Dust being one of the best.

Another suggestion I would make is something you might be interested in, depending on how much you like to be in control of the game.

Personally, when I build a deck, before I add lands I add at least one piece of countermagic. If you're interested in counterspells you have access to a handful of hard counters and a pair of soft counters.

The soft counters are: Mana Tithe and Dash Hopes . These ones are typically bad in EDH because of how much mana there is in the format. The only time I would suggest Mana Tithe is if you play against someone who consistently taps out for X spells or something similar. It can be occasionally useful, but not always. I wouldn't even bother with Dash Hopes

Now the set of hard counters is a little more interesting. They would be: Dawn Charm , Illumination , Lapse of Certainty , Rebuff the Wicked , and Withering Boon .

Dawn Charm is good because it is versatile. It can be a fog, a creature save, or save you from an opponents spell.

Illumination is just ok, it really depends on your meta.

Lapse of Certainty is probably the best one of the bunch, as it is an amazing tempo play. Lapse'ing someones general effectively takes away their draw step next turn.

Rebuff the Wicked is just for saving your stuff. If there is a lot of spot removal played against you this is the card you might want.

Withering Boon is my personal favourite of the bunch, because every EDH plays creatures, and not letting them resolve can be really nice. Often you would save this card for the Kaalia/Sisay player that is about to drop Avacyn, Angel of Hope or Iona, Shield of Emeria .

Just some thoughts, if you're not interested in counterspells at all, just ignore my comment :P

@PlattBonnay. Thank you for the advice i agree it needs at least some counter ability added. I appreciate you taking the time to add some examples I will update my deck as soon as i can acquire some of them.

@SeriosSkies. i origonally had return to dust in the deck but switched it out at some point and added deicide due to the low mana cost. having played the deck a few times mana so far hasnt been an issue so i will likely sub it back in.

I have a Teysa, envoy of ghosts deck and it is based on almost the same thing except you are missing a few key cards. Vizkopa Guildmage is amazing for life gain, it works like sanguine bond except for everyone. Also Serra Avatar is great and there are a lot of cards to use her power as damage. I have multiple ways of finishing off people and my play group is modern only to boot.

Here is the link to my deck http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/teysa-envoy-of-life-edh/I don't have exquisite blood or blood chief ascension as we don't go infinite and I haven't really needed them. Also don't mock fog effects (the good ones that stop all damage), I may be just lucky but I have dodged massive amounts of damage because them and won the game after dodging said damage. I also invested in Boseiju, Who Shelters All because I was sick of my finishers getting countered!

Your deck is looking great! I wish I had access to false cure!!!
