This deck is designed around the interaction between Master of the Feast + Notion Thief. Hence the name. I filled out the deck with things to support or enhance one or both of these two cards within a Grixis control shell. Dictate of Kruphix + Notion Thief draw 3 cards to their 1. Rakdos's Return makes it hard for them to disrupt your combo if they have no cards in hand. Particularly mean thing to do after an overloaded Cyclonic Rift during their end step too. Whispering Madness + Notion Thief is just sick and wrong and makes me feel dirty every time I do it. But in a good way. Toil is fun with Notion Thief and Trouble can be devastating if you have Master of the Feast or Dictate of Kruphix online and you don't happen to draw the Notion Thief or your opponent does something to kill it. Toil can also draw you a couple of cards the normal way in a pinch. Drown in Sorrow and Far / Away help to slow down aggro decks until you can establish control and allow you to regain some card advantage since your opponent will typically get to draw a few extra cards at some point in the game. Psychic Strike may look a little out of place, but it's the only hard counter in Standard that doesn't require UU. Since I'm running 3 colors and predominantly black I'm more likely to be able to cast it when I need it. Also good if it looks like your opponent really wants that card they just kept on top after scrying. I've taken it to FNM 2 weeks in a row and got 2nd place each time, only dropping one match each week and both times that was due to mana problems. Let me know what you think!
