Doubling Season: not much to say here that you don't already know. Does provide extra value with Llanowar Reborn and Khalni Garden. Really combos with all the hydras and Fathom Mage.
Laboratory Maniac: this is the win-con if the opponent never lets you get damage in. Prime Speaker Zegana not only finds him, but also helps him win.
Gyre Sage: amazing mana dork. Combos with just about everything here. Ridiculous with Omnath, Locus of Mana
Fathom Mage: with the counter spam, he will draw lots of cards and buff
Lorescale Coatl
.
Kalonian Hydra: This card is amazing. Even if he only survives one attack, he will pretty much win the game.
Bioshift: move counters from primodial hydra and
Lorescale Coatl
to
Master Biomancer
,
Elusive Krasis
, Gyre Sage, Vastwood Hydra or anything else. Particularly amusing to move from
Lorescale Coatl
to Fathom Mage.
Hardened Scales: free counters.
Khalni Garden: since we don't do much on turn one here, 0/1 creature to chump block or get pumped up later and a land at the same time.
Kozilek, Butcher of Truth : he is here to ensure we don't deck ourselves out too early. Just include him in discard phase and the library has been restocked. This is also the reason I don't run Reliquary Tower or Spellbook.
Llanowar Reborn: gets counters on creatures that don't give themselves counters. Insane with Doubling Season.
Lorescale Coatl
: gets bigger every turn. Gets ridiculous counters with Fathom Mage and Prime Speaker Zegana
Vastwood Hydra: give it counters so that they have to kill it, then distribute those counters because they did. Insane with Doubling Season.
Oran-Rief, the Vastwood: land that gives counters.
Simic Growth Chamber: helps get a land drop every turn. Bounce back Llanowar Reborn, Temple of Mystery, or Khalni Garden to reuse their abilities.
Primordial Hydra: powerful card. Can take a few hits from bioshift and is still useful under pacifism.
Prime Speaker Zegana: draws all the cards. Very risky late game when she might deck you out. Will win with Laboratory Maniac
Omnath, Locus of Mana in a deck that can sometimes tap for over 100 mana a turn before turn 10, omnath is ridiculous.
Please play test this before commenting.I would also like to know if this is a deck that would function better above 60 cards.
