Where to even begin with this description?

Prossh, Skyraider of Kher holds an extremely special place in my heart. The Commander 2013 precon deck Power Hungry was my very first intro to EDH. One of my earlier memories of the format was getting hit by a Tunnel Vision naming Sol Ring and being salty about it.

In the many years since, I've been tinkering on this deck list, keeping it updated as new impactful cards come out and fine tuning it's engines to a frankly frightening degree. I can recall a recent game where I was denied access to Red mana through targeted land destruction most of the game, before resolving a Necropotence, paying 20 life, and then spending about five minutes deciding what to keep. I ended up winning that game.

The aim of this deck is simple: ramp into our Commander early, and abuse his swarm of Kobalds for immediate gain. While it is possible to deal Commander damage early, with haste enablers such as Xenagos, God of Revels, the primary win conditions are one of several infinite combos, Food Chain being the gold standard and primary Demonic Tutor target almost all of the time. Ashnod's Altar and Phyrexian Altar give us a secondary way of infinitely casting Prossh, Skyraider of Kher, and provided we have some means of dealing damage, such as Purphoros, God of the Forge or Goblin Bombardment on the field, infinite damage can be dealt to the entire table.

Yes, the deck is linear, but every game need not play identically, especially in lower power groups. We run a few non-infinite combos for the lulz, such as casting Tooth and Nail for it's entwine cost to drop Craterhoof Behemoth and Stalking Vengeance. We can also use Sadistic Hypnotist's activated ability to force the entire table to play off gas while we dig through our deck or swing in. The ramp package here is almost comically large, guaranteeing we're able to cast Prossh many, many times during a game, all but negating any attempts at removal. Given the correct starting hand, involving a Sol Ring, an Arcane Signet and any mana dork such as Ignoble Hierarch or even the classic Llanowar Elves, we can drop Prossh on turn two and threaten the board on turn three.
