I've never really considered dredge for this deck. I've taken some time to take a look at some dredge cards, and Stinkweed Imp would be a great addition. Another I'm considering is Grave-Shell Scarab to be able to draw cards if needed. Likewise, I might put in a couple Deadbridge Chant . Just experimenting a little. Any thoughts?

I would say that Satyr Wayfinder is better than Mulch . Also 60 cards

And I would agree with you, there. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll be sure to switch the two out. I have a current draft that I'm workin' down to 60 cards, no problem. Should have it up tomorrow. Thanks.

Great deck , can't wait to test it ! Also really budget :D, i will suggest Nemesis of Mortals but i don't know what to switch out for it

I used this deck to playtest one of my own, and once I figured out quite how to play yours, I was floored. My piddly freaking goblins were no match for a 34 point attack. Great deck, man.

I really like this deck, just from playtesting on tappedout and im thinking of buying the cards for it :) Good job!

Thank you! I appreciate the comments/support!
@Paoler I appreciate the suggestion, and it would work great, but Ghoultree serves the same purpose, and for much cheaper. Just yesterday I was able to get three ghoultrees out in a turn, and in the next, sacrifice them all with Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord to deal 30 damage to my two opponents.

I like it. May I suggest Nyx Weaver for more self-mill, with the benefit of some recursion?

@TheSilverBlade Oooh. Nyx Weaver would be really good. That is potentially a better method to bring Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord back to my hand, among other things. I'll see what I can do to work him into the deck. Thanks!

I love Splinterfright decks! My first deck ever was a G/U version. I loved the look on people's faces when I would hit them with Splinterfright then summon Skaab Ruinator from the grave! Anyway, great deck! Do you think there might be a place for Lotleth Troll somewhere? He's difficult to deal with, cheap, pumps your graveyard, and grave hate doesn't shut him down.

Hey man, nice deck!
I have a deck that looks alike with yours. I could explain alot of things in here but I'm sure you already know how to run your deck, so I'll just let the link of my deck to you and you can check my ideas and decisions, maybe you can use some of that. (:
Hope you enjoy it, btw +1 for the great idea of giving life back (or not, haha) to Golgari.

@archer2244 I'll play with the idea of Lotleth Troll . I'll throw him into some of my test plays. Thanks!
@thraniery Awesome! I'll reference yours when I can, maybe pull some of your ideas. I looked over it briefly and it looks pretty good.

If it's Modern then you should try Bloodghast is perfect for its recursion.
July 22, 2014 7:23 p.m.
why no Nighthowler ? This seems like a perfect card for this deck. It counts your graveyard AND theirs.

Garruk, the Veil-Cursed Flip is already a fringe-playable Modern card, and his abilities have synergy with your deck.

And also +1. I like this build a lot! Shame budget excludes Tarmogoyf ...

@Nyne Bloodghast looks like a really good card, but I'm not sure what i'd take out for it. I will, however, consider it for the mono-black I am considering making
@sexytaco Wow! Life's Legacy looks amazing. I'll definitely work it in, seeing as it will give me more control over how many I would draw. Grim Flowering would probably draw far too many by the time I would be able to play it.
@lyrtz I've considered Nighthowler in the past, but I hadn't really thought about it until after I remade the deck into a B/G. Definitely throwing him in! Thanks!
@KrosanTusker Garruk, the Veil-Cursed Flip looks real nice. I'll playtest the deck with him in to see how well he does. Just have to figure out what to tweak so I can throw him in. Tarmogoyf would be amazing, if I had that cash-monies. Haha.
@Rorschach Oh wow. Those combos are pretty nice. I really like the Lotleth Troll + Vengeful Pharaoh combo, especially. I'll have to consider that down the line.

good deck but i would splash blue for Tracker's Instincts over Grisly Salvage and also for Artful Dodge also Ambush Viper + Ulvenwald Tracker is a nice combo and Ulvenwald Tracker can really work with anything in the deck

How about putting a Raised by Wolves on your Kessig Cagebreakers ?
July 29, 2014 6:30 p.m.
ficticiousExplorer says... #25
@tjp430 I used to have splash blue and it worked fine, but after some testing, I liked the reliability of dredge more so than using Tracker's Instincts . One of the things I like most about Grisly Salvage is, if needed, you can take a land or nothing at all, depending on your current graveyard situation. Ulvenwald Tracker looks really good, and I might consider him after some more testing with the deck. Thanks!
@reptarjesus Haha. Thanks!
@Counters_for_Days Thanks!
@Flareking99 That's not a bad idea. I'll play with it, but I'm not sure how well it will work considering the hate Kessig Cagebreakers normally gets whenever I play him. I would also have to find something to switch it out with. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

I feel like you should lose blue and play Grisly Salvage . Instants >> Sorceries. Additionally, Stinkweed Imp 's dredge will help you mill a lot better. These cards work in dredgevine archetypes, so they should work here as well.
