Realm Razer with Tyrant of Discord is mean if you choose to use your Tooth and Nail for that.

What do you think of Scroll Rack ? It combos well with Call of the Wild and Lurking Predators and it's great with Mayael in general.

I have been playing Mayael since I found EDH/Commander. I have tried just about everything to make this deck a well oiled fatty cheating machine.I have found Scroll Rack is not needed/too slow. I can usually start churning out fatties turn 3 at the earliest and turn 5 at the latest. Also top just does the role better in my opinion, With 30+ fatties if Mayael misses i did something wrong. As for Realm Razor, the biggest problem is Mayael can't grab him and he removes my lands which is something I never ever wanna do.

Hi Ninjanate!I see your list is slightly different than mine. I'm sooo very tight on slots since I play 17 artifact rocks. I'd like trying out bracers or resonator, I did play around with rings. Sadly all of those things are cards that I'd need to put in. As it is I can reliably play anything on my deck by turn 4. The other slots that are not Fat Or Rocks Are tutors.

It has been pretty amazing since 2 of my ways of cheating fatties into play are enchantments and the other 2 are library manipulation and a game winner.

You are running some creatures I have never even considered for my Mayael deck, namely how do you find Purity and Tornado Elemental in your deck? And Strionic Resonator could cause so much mana ramp with Sylvan Primordial :D Do you find you often have mana open to use it?

And yeah, I am also looking forward to Archetype of Endurance and Xenagos, God of Revels too. They're gonna be so good. Archetype of Endurance can replace my Asceticism , as it can be grabbed with Mayael.

@TehRazorBack: Purity can stop any infi/loads of non-combat damage. For example it stops Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind infi combo and other random non-combat damages. As for Tornado Elemental , since I only have 10 fliers in the deck it is pretty weak to flying armies and he is a way to deal with fliers off Mayael. Also the bypassing blockers ability can come in handy. For Strionic Resonator , most of my critters have triggered abilities. Sylvan Primordial is a good target for it but also doubling Avenger of Zendikar triggers or even Annihilator(yep its a triggered) from say Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre .

Another one i am gonna be looking to add is Sigarda, Host of Herons because Sigarda, Host of Herons +Avacyn, Angel of Hope +Archetype of Endurance means your can only mass exile or mass -/- to kill my critters.

That's why you run Iona, Shield of Emeria and stop those decks before they get there lol

Its nice when you know the only card that can stop you is Cyclonic Rift ...

@MindAblaze! I am nor sure I am not entirely sure on what the Iona, Shield of Emeria was to but i do run it.

As for what can deal with Sigarda, Host of Herons +Avacyn, Angel of Hope +Archetype of Endurance not a lot of people actually play those cards. Here is the list of widely played cards i could find to deal with it:Final Judgment Merciless Eviction False Prophet Kagemaro, First to Suffer Black Sun's Zenith Cyclonic Rift (including all variants here)Again these are just the most common ones. Also rift delays it more than anything with being able to cheat critters into play from hand.

The point of Iona is by the time shes out youre supposed to be in a good position to make an educated guess at which sweeper is going to ruin your day.

You mean Karametra, God of Harvests ? I think she is a very fine card for decks playing the colors G/W. As for my deck i don't think she will do enough since most of the time I am not casting my critters. My way of looking at the gods is "if they never become a critter is the ability still good enough?" I mean i am only looking to run 3 gods, maybe 2 if Purphoros, God of the Forge ends up not doing enough. The ones that are for certain give trample and double critters p/t(might wanna think of putting troll back in since Xenagos, God of Revels can make him 40/40).

Also know that in no way am I ever saying everyone should be running my critters suite. This is just what I have found to work best for me. If you have a Mayael deck that focuses less on cheating in your critters i would def give Karametra, God of Harvests a try.

Yeah, my Mayael deck uses Wild Pair , Birthing Pod and Survival of the Fittest to get whatever creature combination I want and I do end up casting a good percentage of my creatures. It also has an enchantment subtheme so I'm kind of stoked to try Karametra and Xenagos out.
