Some random thoughts for you. I have card:Akroma's Memorial in my Mayael deck, and I find I'm never unhappy to see it. It gets the most of any creature you have out. Especially if you plan to you know...attack.

card:Ranger's Path or Skyshroud Claim are great ramp to find your shocklands, or just forests. Not strictly better than Explosive Vegetation but useful in their own right.

I had been thinking about card:Akroma's Memorial instead of Titanic Ultimatum , so with your advice I'll try it out.

I have Skyshroud Claim , but card:Ranger's Path is less attractive to me because I only have Temple Garden in here right now, and some creatures are heavily color saturated outside of Green ex Avacyn, Angel of Hope . Explosive Vegetation lets me go grab whatever I want from the basics.

Yeah, I know what you mean like I say, not strictly better but it does let you go get your Temple Garden .

Titanic Ultimatum was the card I had considered cutting too. That's funny.

If you have issues with color, Chromatic Lantern is great. It also has great synergy with Seedborn Muse and if you find you battle lots of board wipers Kamahl, Fist of Krosa is great in this combo.

Titanic Ultimatum is awesome, but I'm a big believer in permanent effects, so that's why I was considering it vs card:Akroma's Memorial.

I don't ever really have trouble with mana, but that's with all the ramp and fixing. As for that combo all I can say is that's too evil lol! I'll keep it in mind for later.

I wonder, how have you found Thundermaw Hellkite ? I've used it a little bit and I've always been underwhelmed. I just find that it doesn't do enough. It is nice to be able to come in for that alpha strike with it, but after that it's just another beater.

I just added him, and haven't gotten a game in with him. Really it's cause I couldn't find someone to trade with, so I added him try to utilize the alpha strike effect. Hopefully I'll get to test him out tomorrow.

Blightsteel Colossus , maybe?

I don't have one, but if I did what would you suggest taking out? I was looking at Elderscale Wurm .

Blightsteel Colossus is cruel with Warstorm Surge , Elderscale Wurm is probably one of the top choices.

No Akroma, Angel of Wrath ? I see Glissa, the Traitor alot so she's particularly strong in deck:the-haven-at-sacellum for me. Her and Engulfing Slagwurm

Same as the Blightsteel Colossus , I don't own an Akroma, Angel of Wrath . I have her memorial in there to benefit the rest of my creatures, but besides that, I don't really have a fear of black. Engulfing Slagwurm is a little underwhelming to me since I don't ever see Glissa, the Traitor or things that are bigger than my stuff i.e. Ghave, Guru of Spores , Omnath, Locus of Mana , or anything with Bushido.

Rings of Brighthearth ?

Sadly it's been discussed before lol, but I don't own a Rings of Brighthearth . Besides that, I have so many ways to cheat in creatures, that I'm not worried about abusing Mayael the Anima with Rings or Instill Energy . It only hits 5 out of my 100 cards which is eh, but If I ever got my hands on one, yes I would probably try to cram it in here. It's just not a top priority.

No Emrakul, the Aeons Torn ?

Poor Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is banned in EDH, or else he'd be in there. He'd be too strong to ignore.

Timesifter Is fun with Mayael, my playgroup made me remove it because it was broken in the deck. Still my mana curve seems higher. A risky bun fun cheat is the classic Eureka . Where is Greater Good ? You don't want to see your fattys switch sides don't you? Also Chromatic Lantern is a fantastic manafix. Nice deck!

Hmmm, I'll have to toy around with Timesifter , it makes complete sense and you're right it is super broken especially if paired with Sylvan Library . I guess I never really paid attention to Greater Good since I don't have one, but man that is on my watch list now. Thanks!

Thanks to Tchuko for bringing up Greater Good . I replaced Bear Umbra with it, or are there thoughts on something else to replace?
