I would try Natural Order since you seem to have a lot of green creatures. I am also fond of Chord of Calling since it is an instant and it can be a nongreen creature (though it is not reusable like card:Green Sun's Zenith ) Mage Slayer is also a nice touch along with Vexing Shusher on the sideboard

I don't have a Natural Order , and it seems a bit up there in price. I know I have some pricey cards already. I also agree Chord of Calling is awesome (what modern Bomb isn't?) but again I don't already have one and I pulled my card:Green Sun's Zenith. I have a Mage Slayer , but I just feel like equipment shift the focus of the deck somehow. The 2 I do use are staples of protection. Vexing Shusher is useful, but I have Spellbreaker Behemoth and Cavern of Souls to cover that (although I can only make creatures uncounterable). Thanks for your suggestions! They could be, but this is less of a token deck, and more BOOM THIS BOMB HIT THE BOARD!!! kind of deck. I used to have things like Dragonlair Spider and Avenger of Zendikar , but they weren't that appealing to me. Thanks for stopping by don't forget to +1!!

Great deck, love it! Since you ask I may have another card to suggest : Naya Panorama . Cheap fetch land that can get you some mana fix (can get you Temple Garden AND reshuffle your library wich sometimes can be useful if you want to get a biggie on the top. In that line of idea Sylvan Tutor may be nice.

Sadly the Panoramas only fetch basic lands Naya Panorama , Bant Panorama , Jund Panorama . Sylvan Tutor is another Worldly Tutor , which while a great effect, I don't have one and the price for one card is a little steep for me atm.

Always good to see somebody else play the dirty girl. Check out Bloom Tender with every turn land you can activate mayael turn 4. Other ideas in Mayael, caller of gods definitely cool though +1

Thanks bud! I've been on the fence about Bloom Tender since I don't like mana dorks in EDH because of the constant board wipes, but I may be more open to testing her out. I do wonder though most of your mana doubling effects also double mana for your opponents, do you ever find that a hassle?

Very rarely is the mana X2 an issue. Other people can do a lot with it but I can usually do more. They tend to get excited and over extend themselves. Even in the event of a board wipe there are ways to make creatures indestructible. If everything does die the increased mana lets you recover pretty quick with mayael.

Have you considered/tested card:Illusionist's Bracers? I could see it being good with her, but Rings of Brighthearth does a similar job. More costly but more adaptable.

I haven't tried card:Illusionist's Bracers, but I wasn't even fond of Rings of Brighthearth until my friend pointed out it worked with things other than just creatures i.e. Birthing Pod , Domri Rade , or Krosan Verge . So in total card:Illusionist's Bracers would affect 5 creatures, 3 would be pump effects, and Rings of Brighthearth would affect 19 permanents, with about 11 being worth while to copy. So I haven't bothered testing it. If you find it works well I'd love to know.

I think you're right, you'd have to tailor your deck around it and I'd much rather pay the two mana to copy any activated ability, not just Mayael. It's kind of narrow that way.

After I did that count though I was trying to figure out is Defense of the Heart a activated or triggered ability? I couldn't remember what "if" abilities are.

I don't think so. The closest thing I could think of besides Rings of Brighthearth would be to Reroute something, then Reverberate or Wild Ricochet it. But alas that is still only activated abilities.

Lol the best part is each plays differently. I've seen it backfire more often than not, here's looking at you Rite of Replication. At least in my build I don't think that 1 more mana is effective in taxing the opponents.
