This is the first commander deck I ever created. I built this from scratch once I came started my college education. I had been a heavy player of MTG around the time of the Alara block and always loved the concept of Naya, but also had many older cards. I traded a lot of value cards I owned to get cards to improve this deck. Like all of my other decks, it is constantly changing and adapting. This deck was created with the premise of cheating large, preferably indestructible creatures onto the battlefield, such as Akroma, Angle of Mercy, Spearbreaker Behemoth, and Deathless Angel, all of which also make other things indestructible. Using cards like the commander Mayael the Anima, Elvish Piper and Quicksilver Amulet, I am able to effectively put creatures onto the battlefield, even on other player's turns. Lurking Predators itself is almost a win condition because of how quickly the deck can put creatures onto the battlefield when it's in play, especially in large multiplayer games. Because I am not casting creatures very often, the deck makes use of "Enter" abilities and "bubble effects." Cards like Gruul Ragebeast, Warstorm Surge and Aura Shards make for good removal, while Soul of the Harvest adds card drawing capabilities and Paleoloth helps recover cards. Cream of the Crop adds utility for ensuring the right card is drawn or put onto the battlefield with Mayael the Anima. The uses lots of tap abilities to get creatures onto the field, so Thousand-Year Elixir provides a good boost, improved even further by Seedborn Muse. The deck also uses creatures to tap for extra mana, with the stars being Karametra's Acolyte and Gyre Sage. Still, even with these boosts and "cheats," the deck's cards can get expensive Tempt with Discover helps with quick ramp and makes you more politically friendly with others. Finally, once you have a suitable army to attack with, you can use a number of cards to finish your opponent. Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, Siege Behemoth, Nylea, God of the Hunt, as well as Iroas, God of Victory, Mage Slayer, and Xenagos, God of Revels all allow you to be extremely aggressive, while cards like Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs can help protect you. It's always fun to have Avatar of Slaughter and Blazing Archon in play at the same time, especially when both are made indestructible. Also a pumped up Hamletback Goliath combined with Dragon Throne of Tarkir basically ends the game. I like where this deck is currently, but am always open to suggestions. One thing I have tried to do with this deck is give it many options for avoiding board-wipes, as those and removal spells can slow down this deck greatly. I really enjoy this deck and think it is rather good. While not the best, it always draws attention and is fun to play with.
